Dave Ramseying to Disney! Some final thoughts 8/18

To Agent or Not? To TGM or not?

  • Go it alone. It is worth all of the effort to plan it the way I want it.

  • Get the help. The right travel agent is worth his/her weight in pirate gold.

  • Plan it myself but get Tour Guide Mike to help with the itinerary.

  • Get the works. Use an agent AND buy Tour Guide Mike.

Jumping in to tell you a way to get TS3 for $3.99...If you buy $25 worth of Proctor and Gamble products at CVS, with your CVS card, you get a $16 rebate.

That is awesome! Thank you so much. I really need to get it. ?The hard part will be putting it away until Christmas.

Alright - between you and someone else we know - I am now a Dis'er, not just a stalker.

Do you know that it was one of your posts here that pointed out to me your children's intials - "A, B, C"? I've known you for how long? (6 years - it was rhetorical.

:cheer2:

Sorry I disappeared. Love that Disney bucket list! I'll have to think on one!

Hello She who shall not be named but is staying at the Grand Floridian and will likely have an A,B,C and an E and T crashing at some point. Welcome to the Dis. :welcome:
Now if we can only get that other person to post...you know the one whose name rhymes with Mivonne. :cutie:

Thanks!!!

I'm still alive, and here!

I love your idea of the bucket list! There are quite a few things on your list that I would love to do as well...someday! I really should make one of those and try to get at least one done each trip!

Yeah, everyone needs a Disney bucket list! Or a regular bucket list with a lot of Disney stuff on it at least! Glad you are having a great trip back home. Your FB pics are so sweet!

I feel like I have not updated in forever! First off, my new job is going great. I love being a nurse and it feels great to stretch that part of my brain again. BUT of course we have all gotten several versions of the plague in the three short weeks since I started. Has it really only been three weeks? The kids have had the barfing flu and various colds and such and I went to the doctor yesterday and was told I have walking pneumonia. BTW I don't. That doctor was crazy. First off, you can not diagnose walking pneumonia without a chest X-ray and blood cultures. He did neither so I am calling quack. But he did give me antibiotics which I will take for my sinuses and ear infection. And he gave me Hydrocodone cough syrup which I will tuck away for when I need cough syrup and no one will give me the good stuff. :rotfl:
I have purchased some nice Disney items for my new job and here they are...

A stylish watch to time the little babies pulses

Some fun scrub tops that hide the fact that I usually spill at least a little coffee on me in the morning
IMG_0447.jpg

And the most comfy pair of Mickey/Minne Birkenstocks ever! I may wear these around the parks. They are great. My feet do not hurt at all at the end of the day.

This full time stuff is wearing me out. Only a few more weeks and I will be working one shift a week. Woo hoo! I can make it! I can make it!

WOW those shoes are awesome.. you must tell me where you got them?? Glad you are enjoying your job, sorry you guys have been sick, hopefully you guys are feeling better and have gotten through all the diseases you're immune LOL!

Yes, I think we have literally gotten all of the diseases. I got them at Lydia's. Here is the link. They are on crazy sale and they have another pair that is even cuter BUT they did not have them in my clown-shoe size!:rotfl:

SO CUTE!!! I would love to get some, off to check out the link!!!

Thank God for my amazing TA. That is all I can say. When I saw that my ADR 180 day mark was on a work day I was a little nervous. On my tram ride to to Women's and Children's I checked my email and found out that Angela had gotten all of my ADRs including Pirate makeovers. And all were at the exact times that I wanted!! How does she do that? I think she would tell you it is magic!
So here are our plans.

Saturday, May 28. Arrival day. No ADR because you never know what time we will check in. Eat dinner at hotel or on the road.

Sunday, May 29. Eat breakfast at WPE and drive to Titusville. Have lunch and dinner with Great Grammy. Drive back to CSR. Maybe grab some gelato and a swim or if we are up for it go to Poly for some dole whip and fireworks. My parents will be checking in this evening.

Monday, May 30. Pirate makeovers at MK. 9 am. We will get to enter MK 30 minutes early. Yeah!! Dinner at Hoop De Doo at 5pm. Very excited. Angela talked us into this and I am really glad. This day is Memorial Day and according to TP and TGM this is the least crowded park BUT I think we will be happy to head back to the hotel for an afternoon break and eat outside of the park. We can always head back after dinner. I will need to work on the logistics of driving to FW and then do we drive to TTC or take the boat. Very confusing.

Tuesday, May 31. AK day. Tusker House ADR for 8 am before the park opens. Yeah! Do AK until we are tired. Head back to room. Maybe do DTD that night for Earl.

Wednesday, June 1. DHS day. 5:35 1900 Park Fair.

Thursday, June 2. My parents leave this AM so the rest is just us. And this day is Brady's actual B-day. MK Day 2. Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:05.

Friday June 3. Epcot Day 1. 11:30 Le Cellier lunch. 5pm O'hana Dinner.

Saturday June 4. Epcot Day 2. Cape May Cafe 5pm.

Sunday May 5. Get up and hit the road. :sad2:
The only thing I want is to keep my eyes peeled for a slightly later Ohana ADR but that is about it. I'm very excited and super pleased with Angela. What a great resource!

Hoop Dee Doo is great. It was the only place we actually sat down and ate on Disney Property last winter when we went. We stayed in the cabins at the Fort so, tried to avoid going out to eat as much as possible. After some grumbling by my DS (realized he didn't get near enough of his schoolwork done that he should have while we were there) and some hemming and hawing by DH we finally decided to go and everyone still talks about how great the meal and show were.

Hey! I just found your PTR. I loved the tag line and just spent the last hour reading your report. I am trying to get new ideas of ways to save for our trip in February. I have been three times before..once as a teen, once off property and in 2009 at POP. Can't wait to read more.

Hey Yvonne! I'm so glad you guys liked it. I have always really wanted to do it BUT I was hesitant with such littles. But my TA loves going with her young kids so I guess we will try it. With the free dining it is a little easier to swallow paying for it. When you stayed in the cabins how did you do the sleeping arrangements? We want to stay there one day.

Yeah! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have really become a money saving fool. In fact, I am about to organize my weekly shopping trip and coupons right now. Gotta start buying for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner.

Actually the cabins are the only place I have ever stayed on property. We stayed there when I was a teenager too. We put the kids in the bedroom. The girls slept on the bunkbeds. There is a good sturdy guardrail for the top bunk. Drew slept on the other bed in there. Can't remember if it was a queen or double. I think double. Steve and I slept out in the main area on the Murphy bed.
We let Drew pick where we were going to stay (Riverside or cabin) since he knew we were going and the girls did not. We loved being able to park right outside our door and not having anyone directly above, below or next to us.

Your ADRs look sooooo good. I keep wanting to change all mine for Feb/March. Something about the plans just doesn't jive with me! But, then again-I know we'll like everything we have...so....:confused3  I DO want to add HDDR though! But like you said...that price tag! Ouch! And we don't do DDP, so we see the actual bill! I KNOW Henry will not eat enough to justify that ticket price, so we'll see what we end up doing!

I'm getting two boys, that will probably eat A LOT in for free so that makes it much better! Gotta love the 3 and under eats off mom's plate thing!
