i have to agree with teh fish....guys can be jerks, but girls can be real bi%#*es. the truth is that in a relationship the girl really has the upper hand, and we can really hurt them. ive realized that you just have to pay attention, and actually - the girl is ussually running the show.
i dont think that there are more guys who treat girls poorly than there are girls who treat guys poorly. there are jerks in both genders.....

I had my first real boyfriend ask me out a day before my first day in high school. We dated for a little while. Nothing too serious. I went to homecoming but only in a group of friends. In January I started "seeing" someone. I had liked him for about a year!! We were good friends, always went to one another for dating advice, and everything else! Right after my grandaddy died he was there for me, he suggested we just do something to get my mind off everything. He came over and that start our "being together". A while later he asked me out officially. We went to Prom together, so technically that was my first date out somewhere really. Everything else had been casual, watching a movie getting ice cream and brining it home. After a while we broke up and I felt like i lost my best friend...We are getting back closer recently...we went to get something to eat after school the other day...who knows whats going on!! Some people seem to be convinced thats we are "talking", but I relly dont know!! I guess whatI am trying to say is wish me luck! hehe

And just because you've never had a boyfriend isnt bad! That just means the possiblities are wide open! Dont get discouraged!

I feel everyones pain!!! i feel soo left out w/my friends!!!. but see some of the guys that go out w/myfriends, all they do is talk about them so im like, dont wanna go through that! daughter_of_amid_chaos: thats soooo true! we have all the ah's up here and im hatin' it, the guys i met from sc & ohio were prob the nicest guys ive met. nsyncraider17: i know exactly how you feel! when i like someone they sdont like me and guys who like me i dont like them. i havent had a true bf yet but im only 14 going on 18 sooo i guess i have time (even though time is painful!)

OK yeah it is a Teen Board and young kids read this BUT as daniel said it is a public forum so we are allowed to post what we feel is allowed.
I'm 17 and still a teen so I can post on the teen board whatever I feel is under DIS rules and that goes for everyone else on here.
And if there is someone younger and they started reading a post that they feel they shouldnt be reading....they can hit the back button. Because the older teens dont have anywhere else to go on the DIS because we cant post on the CB.
If you don't like what you're reading...don't read it.

i cant help but feel like you were talkin about a certain "bad" word i used in my post....lol
im sorry. last time i wrote that, it was automaticly censored into b****. so i assumed it would do the same thing this time.
even though i agree with nora (way ya go for fighting for wuts right! ), and obviously it wasnt THAT big of a deal cuz jenn didnt say anything about it, i apologize if anyone got offended, and i do watch wut i say (both language and content).
but norah does have a point - older teens sometimes have things to say or feelings to express that might not be appropriate for the younger teens. and theyre not neccesarily bad things, cuz lets face it - everyone on the TB are good kids, i mean we're disney kids! it doesnt get any better than that! it could even just be a joke or a play on words that could be viewed as inappropiate for the youngins on the dis. but i guess thats just the way it is....

Yeah, girls are equally as vicious, but it depends on the relationship...honestly, we're so different, I don't understand why we're meant to be put together! Our brains are wired so differently!

Bubblemutant45: i do have to agree with you with the jerks on both sides thing. A lot of girls do either cause the breakup and dont realizeit or they can be real jerks. This one girl I know used to take advantage of her bf, he could drive so she made him her chaffeur.(spelling is off). girls can be as much jerks as guys can, some girls git p-oed if their bf talks to another girl. but im not saying guys are angels. i have a friend, stacy, her bf wont let her see her friends. she hasnt seen barely anyone of her friends this summer because her bf doesnt like them. well i think everyone can see why each sex can be jerks in a relationship.

I curently do not have a boyfriend. I have never been on a date. In our school (keep in mind that I'm only 13) We dont really go on dates yet. Its more like you just say your going out with someone. Guys can be such losers! Its the worst. I really liked this guy and I mean REALLY for 2 years and he like WOULDNT give me the time of day. And if thats not bad enough, he goes and dances with one of my best friends at a dance!!! AHHH!!! It gets me soo mad!!!

I've gone out on dates w/guys but I've only had 2 real boyfriends, with my first one, we were both sophomores & we dated for 2 years, & he was a really good guy... until he dumped me & told me that he had lost feelings over the last 3 months but didn't have enough guts to tell me... & my current boyfriend is an absolute sweetheart, we've been dating for 5 months & things are going really good.

& on the topic of what's appropriate... even though we're older... we're still teens... & this IS a TEEN BOARD.
