Dates for free dining???

Last year the rumored dates were right on, but this year I can't seem to find anything with dates. Does anyone know what the (rumored) dates will be if free dining is offered?

Two rumors I have seen:

Start date of Aug 23 and Aug 30 (Aug 30 seems more prevalent, though. )

End date Sept 27 (one end date was November 6, though!)

here's hoping for the 23rd but when we booked the bounce back (last Sept)
it did say the 30th of August as a start date. i couldn't even think if they changed it to the 23rd there would probably be a lot of changes with peoples ressies??? However, with universal promoting their free dining starting I believe in the middle of august you never know if Disney will change their minds

It seems that the bouceback and Uk people have a longer span of dates. When I called and made my reservation for Sept. 20th-27th, the CM told me that free dining was ending on the 20th. The other rumour is that they won't let you book past the ending date whatever it was even if you start earlier like in the past. We should know on Monday.

I think with the UK Free Dining you had to buy tickets for the whole of the duration. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you also had to book at least a moderate?

You can book any room, even a DVC to a value for the FDP.

On the official free dining watch board...there was a TA's daughter that said her mom got an email that listed the official dates as August 24th - September 20th and the DVcard holders will be able to get FD Monday April 7 & the general public would be April 10th...it has also been stated but not confirmed by several that if your stay is booked to begin by the end of the FD period (Sept 20th) you should be able to get FD for the length of your stay.....She also provided the code for DVcard holders it is AYG...all of this information can be found at the official free dining watch board

Seems several TAs are now confirming that these dates are the ones they are being told will be offering free dining this year: August 24th - September 20th.
