I'm debating on a WDW trip in early December versus early January. Any pros or cons to these times?

I'm leaning towards December because of the holiday decorations. Any difference in crowd level?

Thanks
Peggy

The first couple of weeks of Dec are very light. Jan is light to but this year New Years Day is a Thursday so many people will prob stay through the weekend but I would think by Jan most of the crowds will be gone. It shouldnt really pick up around there again til Presidents week.

Early December gets my vote:D We've been a few times during Christmas and New Years. It was fun, but the older I get (geez, I'm 34:p ) the less I like large crowds. We were there a few years ago and stayed a week past New Year's. While the crowds lightened up, we noticed a lot of South American tour groups (unfortunately our impression was that they were rather on the rude side). We will be taking our first early December trip this year and are really looking forward to all the holiday cheer, but with smaller crowds.

We have been there twice in early Dec. and the crowds were virtually nonexistent. I would choose Dec, not only because of the crowds but because of the Christmas decorations. Make sure you see the candlelight processional and MVMCP. We had warm weather a couple years ago and freezing weather this past Dec. We didn't encounter any crowds until the Friday before Christmas.

Great! Thanks for the advice. Early December it is. :Pinkbounc
