I am trying to remember what the cost of a bottle of Dasani Water is in the Disney park at the various kiosks and counter service locations. I think it was $2, $2.50 or $3 but I can't remember...

All ears is saying $2.50 and that should be for a 20 oz bottle. I also think they have a smaller bottle for $2.

Oddly enough I remember paying $2.75 for the same bottle in 1999. :scared1: So who says Disney just keeps raising food prices. ;)

Keep in mind... Dasani is regular, locally-bottled, water, put through filters.

The water served at WDW in cups is regular, local, water, put through filters.

Encountered only one size on all of Disney property that I visited. $2.50.

On at least two trips I have seen at the smaller food carts two sizes of water. Both of them were kind of on a stand.

Maybe they have stopped selling the smaller bottle.

Now that I think about it they were actually selling a larger one liter size bottle at some of the carts.

They do sell the large bottles in some places. But the 20 oz ones are $2.50. Recently all soft drinks in 20 oz bottles went up to $2.75 but water was still $2.50.

And it is true that Dasani is filtered tap water. Maybe not filtered Orlando/Florida tap water - I don't know if it says on the bottle where it comes from, most info says "local municipal sources" - but it is filtered tap water. WDW sells it because it is a Coca-Cola product. Possibly the filtering method is different from that used in water from beverage fountains like at the restaurants, because there are a lot of reports from people who don't like the taste of that water but have no problem with bottled municipal tap water. I don't have a problem with the filtered water available from free sources at WDW.

The filtering that Coke does is magnitudes above what Disney does. Coke uses Reverse Osmosis plus what ever Disney does.

And yes I know that using disposable water bottles is a waste and creates green house gases. At work I use a reusable nalgene water bottle all the time. but yes I get a case of water for Disney.

I'm only adding this so this doesn't become an anti disposable water bottle debate. :)

One other thing is some people do have a problem with Dasani water not because its from Florida but that its mineral water so has a different taste than plain bottled water. Kind of a Coke vs Pepsi thing. Oh no now I've done it. :goodvibes
