Just got back. The system is kind of a hybrid. Not entirely the old paper based but app based.

You need to register one time.

They seem to have at least one person at each ride to register as it's not done at guest services.

You might need to have something that says you have a disability and particularly that you don't have the disability certificate that's issued nationally like they have in Japan.

I don't remember what it's called. They also offer discounts for persons with disabilities and one caregiver. We had to show something at the time we entered also.

We brought our doctors letter translated by a friend and our disability parking pass. It seemed like the moment people saw that, it was immediately recognized what we were doing.

The selection of attraction is done by them and the QR from your ticket used and then the entry shows up in your app to use after refresh. You then scan the QR at the FP line to enter.

Seemed to work reasonably well.

I think they can select a ride from other places but not sure as we did not try and went with rain and so lines were short.

This was our third time using DAS at Tokyo and we have used several times in Hong Kong and I think it worked well.

Hopefully this helps. I can try to answer any questions some may have.

Glad to hear it went well. I know at Disneyland Paris, they only let one other person go with the person with the disability (me), so we got one for my twin sister because she gets easily fatigued and stuff. Is that the case here?

Nope. They have up to 6 people linked...maybe 8? Much like wdw. First person to scan needs to have the DAS and they pull up the picture they took.
