Hi! Just wanted to offer my experience today. Please - no debates about the DAS, who should qualify, who shouldn't, etc. just wanted to offer my personal perspective.

We arrived at Disney World today around 11:00. We waited in line at guest services for around 5-7 minutes. The CM was very, very nice. I told her I would like to request the DAS for my daughter, who has autism. She asked how many in our party. I told her, she took my daughter's photo and we were out the door. Total exchange took less than 15 minutes. She even gave us a FP slip for any 1 ride that day. The DAS had worked well so far, as we did a lot of planning ahead, could take advantage of FP+ and my husband is able to go ahead for return times.

Which park did you get your DAS? And thank you for sharing your experience.

Also got at MK Sunday - evening around 7 pm. Got it at Guest Relations outside the park. In line about 5 minutes, processed it in another 5 minutes. Very positive experience. Only used once in park all evening for Peter Pan. Standby was 25 minutes and they wrote down time that equaled 10 minutes. Positive interaction with CM who wrote it, CM who was at FP+ entrance and CM at second FP scanners.

Note that inside the park Guest Relations was spilling out into the sidewalk at 7 pm and still at 11 pm when we left.
