So all 5 can’t ride together? Are all 5 immediate family (2 adults, 3 kids?)
We were just able to ride with all 5 of us but it required a supervisor approval--they took care of it during my DAS chat, just had to wait for the supervisor. We were a party of my DAS holder age 9, 2 parents, and 2 siblings age 12. I gather it is case by case whether they let the 5th person in--perhaps based on how young/close in age the siblings are, not sure what the criteria are.

Based on an earlier post, I believe @otg has a party of child, parents and grandparents.
Yes its my child age 13 that has the das. Me and my husband and my parents. So only my son and 3 other can ride at time. Honestly thats fine with us. I want my parents to experience most attractions with him. I will ride the bigger rides with him my mother doesn't want to ride.

Re-registered and approved today.
Waited about a minute in the queue, much quicker than the first time. Same questions as before but slightly less amount (two) and it was pretty quick and painless. Felt awkward explaining stuff as always, but glad it’s done.

Question for anyone who knows - my next park day (reservation as I’m a local AP holder) is next Thursday 24th - she implied the 240 days doesn’t start until then. The DAS box isn’t showing on my app, so I assume it will pop up next Thursday?

Thank you in advance!
It popped up for me after we entered the park.
Not sure if it’s 240 from that park day.

DSis called today for DB since we have a trip coming up at Thanksgiving (plus an additional two in Jan/Feb and May). Didn't get all the details since I was at work, but according to her, he was almost instantaneously approved again (had been approved for our July trip), and we did get the 240 day version since we're APs/DVC (July 20th expiry I believe).

I'll have to look and see if he's linked to just us (myself, DM, and DSis) or if he'll also be linked to 3 others that we're going on a trip with in May (already F&F with them). Already expecting to have to purchase some LLMP/LLSP for them and coordinate return times, or try some standby lines if at all possible.

I wanted to create a thread that was STRICTLY for feedback on your DAS conversation with MS.

First time DAS applicate or have had DAS in the past?
- If it is not your first time, did the process go differently?
Approved for DAS? Give other options?
- If given another option please explain the process!

As there is another thread for extensive conversation on DAS, I would like this to be all about the data and not a conversation on opinions or thoughts therefore being RESPECTFUL should NOT be an issue.
Approved 29 days out. On at 0700 est, done in 10 min. CM was fine. Based on my DD, I knew approval would be fine. No probing questions. Wouldn’t budge though on pre-selects. Drag.

Do you mean the pre-selects like the ones they used to give (2 rides per park)? They did away with that when they made the changes in May I believe.

After being approved twice before for my mom, we were denied this time around.

I logged on at around 2:30 pm ET on 10/18 and was chatting with someone within 10 minutes. She was very nice, very friendly. She did refer us to a medical person. I explained that my 90 year old mom (she might be old but she loves some of the rides!) has CHF, kidney disease, and an anxiety disorder, especially around close crowded areas, for which she takes medication. She takes diuretics for the CHF to drain the fluid from around her heart so she needs to use the bathroom quite often. I'm concerned about having to leave a line several times. She does use a wheelchair there's that too. i know how rude people can be about getting back in. She does get very nervous and anxious if there are too many people around her for long periods of time. The medicine does help with that.

So they explained to me that as far as using the bathroom, we can leave a queue - a cast member will help with that. I'm worried that it could be several times, like I said. She does also use a wheelchair. As for the panic/anxiety issues - they said since she's on medication it probably won't be an issue. They asked how I deal at home but I said we are close to the bathroom and hardly ever in crowded situation.

So it is what it is. I'm disappointed but we'll manage. I'm off to find information about disability entrances, rider swaps, and things like that.

thanks everyone and good luck to all who haven't tried yet!
Was this your first time trying after the the rules change? I've read somewhere, a person got approved after the change, and then 3 months later, tried again and was denied.

When you get back, please post how you got in and out of lines. I think my DH will be denied too, so I'd like to plan. He will be using a scooter though.

That is correct.
When the changes were rolled out in May for WDW and June for Disneyland, DAS Advance Selections (what some people called Pre-Selects) were removed from the DAS program

My son was approved on Saturday. I did it when it opened up. Short wait. I had my notes and told them I will be advocating for my son. My son is 7. We had a nice cm, and retired special ed teacher. I went through my sons iep and his accomidations at school. I then gave a couple real examples of meltdowns in lines and how accomidations have helped.

My son was quickly approved when the system changed. His expired recently. I went online with him. And he was grilled this time. So many questions. And then the medical professional was brought in. So many questions again. He was approved.

He felt embarrassed answering some of the questions. When he ended the zoom he said that was uncomfortable.

Both people he talked to had nice personalities. But to give the answers he had to be vulnerable to two total strangers.

It can be so hard to be vulnerable with those we love, much less total strangers. I'm glad he was approved

Reregistration for my DAS was today. I had let it lapse because of things going on personally but didn't have any issue from them on that end.

Was in and out of it in less than 20 minutes. Much smoother experience this time than last May where I had to deal with not one but two medical professionals and a new full meltdown on my end. Didn't try for more party members than what I had before because 1. I don't usually travel with people and 2. Did not want to push my luck.

Explained why I couldn't handle lines for long periods and why I couldn't just easily get myself out of line (which was mobility related but I realized they needed to know about it because it impacted my ability to remove myself from the line and thus was an issue from the reasons I do need DAS for). And that RTQ didn't work for me because again I'm normally by myself.

Almost pushed it back another day but I was having a bad flare day. And figured for once that might actually help me with the process rather then hinderent it.

Also think I realized for the first time why my anxiety does not handle extremely crowded periods for long times. Old trauma combined with GAD makes for a fun time all around.

Approved for the full 240 day which will take me through all of my next trips.

Highly disappointed that DD was denied. Apparently ADHD that causes anxiety and nausea is not deemed a DAS necessity or a disability.
I'm sorry she was denied. If the return to queue accommodation doesn't work on your first day, perhaps then try calling back with specific examples of what happened? There have been some reports of people being accepted for DAS after trying the other accommodations and being able to share why they didn't work.

Also please remember that Disney is not saying that your daughter is not disabled. The CM merely thinks that her needs can be met in other ways.
The irony of this is there will be times my husband or myself will be solo with our daughter and we can’t just leave her by the entrance while we go through the queue and then call her to say ok I’m at friont of the line now. So their alternates are not even doable.
