DAS and stairs

No.
The only function of DAS is to give a Return Time so that guests who are unable to wait in the regular line are able to wait outside of the lines.

For other things - like avoiding stairs, people with visible issues with doing stairs (like wheelchair, ECV, cane, etc) are automatically routed around them.

Guests with invisible reasons would need to tell their needs to the CM at the entrance and then as you get closer to the stairs.

Do you need a DAS if not using a wheelchair or ECV for rides that have stairs to avoid them?
when I have used a cane I have always been routed around the stairs no DAS needed. in fact I didn't even try for one. and at Toy Story I was sent to the new third track not the handicapped/wheelchair car

Right now only the new track for TSM is open as they are redoing the lines for the opening. the older track is closed.

I was talking about when all were open and OP did not say when person was going
well I just wanted people to know the old track was closed in case someone was going soon, and maybe with the new set up there will not be any stars

I believe that getting rid of the stairs was one of the things they had planned for the remodel.
