Dapper Days in September - anyone else thinking of going?

Astylla and Vintage mousketeer, I love your outfits/ideas!! How do you make that skirt without sewing, though?? It's sure cute! I think my outfit is about as good as it's going to get. It isn't anything too dramatic but it will be fun! Here is what I have going:

As far as a meet-up, I would prefer not to merge with the MiceChat group because I won't know who is who. How about if we just meet in the Hearthstone Lounge? Since the other group is meeting at 7, I'm not sure what time would be best. The Folly at Jazz Kitchen starts at 10:30, so maybe sometime between 8 and 10? Is that taking away too much park time? It would be fun to grab a drink and meet fellow DISers

All very valid points!! I think a 8-10 meet would be perfect. Especially since the park hours are so short that day.

Will any DISers be Dappering on Saturday too?

I dress 50s style every day anyway so i will be there in 50s style until Tuesday! I will be in pants Saturday though. but Sunday evening back into a dress. For dinner!

I agree with keeping separate and between 8 and 10 would work great for me , or anytime honestly. WE are staying at the DLH so easy enough to get back and forth. Since I won't be attending Folly ( Not a dancing person) would be grateful to meet anyone.

DH won't be dappering it up much , but may be able to get him into a button down shirt and slacks though to compliment me. Maybe I can convince him to wear a fedora lol

I absolutely ADORE your outfit Dizme , it reminds me of Mary Poppins ! The fascinator is so cute on you. I am jealous of everyone's cute shoes , I can't walk/wear heels really so trying to find some cheap flats/black or polka dot keds style.

Ok! 8 PM on Friday at Hearthstone Lounge. I don't know where--inside or out? I'm not sure how many people we're talking about or how crowded it will be. What about setting up a group text? I can try and be there early to hold a place for everyone but it's possible that a better spot might present itself. If you want to PM me your cell number, I can set up a texting group when we nail things down and let everyone know where/when. Meanwhile, if anyone has a better idea for a meet-up place, post it and we'll figure out what might work best.

DH and I have 7:00pm reservation at Carthay Circle for dinner so we likely won't make it We will stop by there when we are done to see if people are still hanging around as we are staying at the Grand.

I've got the MC meetup at 7pm at the paradise pier greek place, and I think we were going to try to do a dapper TOT shot afterwards, so that may be tight.

Good idea. An afternoon break would be a nice time to meet up, and would hopefully avoid other commitments/conflicts. Do you want to meet somewhere else besides GCH?

An afternoon break in the park maybe a good idea or a Saturday meet since it sounds like a lot of DISers will be in the parks all weekend...

Being realistic , people likely already have plans they may not be able to change so a time frame may be hard to nail down so late in the game.

I will do my best to do anytime however.

I think the best that can be done is choose a time , and stick with it.
Whoever can make it , awesome ; those who can't will be missed obviously.
It's just going to be difficult to cater to everyone.

Agreed. I would like to hear from as many as possible what your optimal time frame would be, and we'll go with that. So...let me know whether you prefer afternoon or evening and we'll settle the time.
