Dapper Day 2017 - April 29th - Whos going!? What'cha wearing!?

Yeah lol. Dapper and humid heat as well as all day on your feet in Disney don't exactly go hand in hand.

I'm going Short Sleeve with Suspenders and Bow Tie and Linen Pants (no vest or coat/jacket) in an effort to stay cool. Debating on even doing some Chuck Ts (not traditionally Dapper, but it might work) vs dress shoes in an effort not to destroy my poor feet as it's my first day there and I plan to be walking all day. Or perhaps I will bring dress shoes for morning pictures only then swap into something more comfortable for the rest of the day....like CROCS!!!

We did DD for the first time last November, and I opted out of dress shoes, and I'm SO glad that I did, my feet would have been DEAD!

While Dapper Days is not a Disney-sponsored event, Disney will have some unique offerings for guests who participate.

A picnic in the park on April 29th, where boxed lunches will be available at Tomorrowland Terrace, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. A special reserved picnic area in the East Plaza Garden will be available for guests. Each lunch comes with house-made chips, fruit cup, mini Dapper Rose cupcake, regular fountain beverage, and a choice of fried chicken, chicken Caesar salad, Greek salad wrap or a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Various kids meals will also be available. Pricing is $14.99 for adults, $9.99 for children under 9.

Specialty Cupcakes

Select merchandise from "The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane" at Disney Springs will be available in the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.

A variety of corsages and rose wands will be available for purchase on Main Street, U.S.A.

Last update I would say dapper day caught on "bigly" lots of people dressed up young and old.

Also I never have gone through a summer or Christmas experience but it was PACKED OUT today my goodness!!!

Just got home from my first Dapper Day ever! My best friend and I went as Cinderella's stepsisters! The Anastasia to my Drizella made the dresses, and I made most of the accessories, including the necklaces and my black cat purse. They turned out awesome if we do say so ourselves, and we got a TON of compliments!

We were Figment and Spaceship Earth for EPCOT Dapper Day!

Was just there and really felt for those dressed to a 'tee' for Dapper Days. It was way way hot!! Lots of the girls had very high heels, dressy dresses, guys with ties, some with suits - no way!!

Dapper Day at Disneyland seems to be much more popular. We did both. Disneyland California on April 23 and at WDW we hit MK on Saturday and dressed up for Epcot on Sunday. We did see many people dressed up, but the week prior at Disneyland there was a much bigger presence. So if you are really into Dapper Day - take a trip to Disneyland for the next one

That's true of most events like this at the parks. The locals at Disneyland really go all out. The heavy tourist presence at WDW makes it harder for things like this to get the same kind of attendance.

Just want to bump up this thread again as I’m reflecting now and this is one of the best days I’ve ever had at Disney. I hope it continues to grow and expand it was an amazing experience!
