DAP getting to know you thread!!!

Hi, I'm Kristina and I ...well I'm so shy I have rewritten this opening sentence several times now !
I am a newly minted single person originally from CA but I've lived in Sweden for a heck of a long time now...17 years! One day I plan to move back, but I'm not sure where to exactly. I work with special needs kids and I love the Dis, I'm a total Disney freak and of course love the podcast !

Yesterday was my birthday and I am so silly that I spent the entire year thinking I was going to become the age I just turned, that I became confused and thought I was older than I was . For the entire year .

is my favorite smilie.

I lurk mostly though I feel I know everybody on here...you're all a bit famous to me and I totally look forward to meeting everyone at Disapalooza !
Oh and I will probably be going solo but something tells me that's going to alright .

I did that last year, so I've been the age I am now for 2 years. I figure that I'll do it again next year, so I'll get to celebrate my 50th birthday for 2 years, too. ( I just don't want to be 49.)

I really hate it when people end a phrase or sentence with "at". UGH!

Also the use of "guys". For instance, "What can I get you guys? What are you guys doing?" I am not a guy!

I too am memory challenged when it comes to remembering names of people. I also have a hard time keeping screen names and real names associated with the correct people.

My idea of a fun day at Disney World is a tennis lesson, followed by park hopping for roller coaster rides, visit to the pool and a nice dinner.

Looking forward to DAP and meeting folks, even if I forget your name.

And yes, I am addicted to dark chocolate.

Wow it seems to be quite common then, phew! That's a relief...except for the aging brain part .

Kristina...first, Happy Birthday! Many years ago, I spent my 32nd year telling everyone I was 33! Well, now I'm 55 (at least for a few more days), and I never make the mistake of adding more years.

I'm also very shy, but most of the time do a good job of hiding how difficult it is for me to be in a group of people. The crazier the group, the more I like it.

That and I have the worlds smallest bladder so I'll probably spend more time in line for the bathroom than in line for a drink.

As I have and overactive bladder.
I will talk to anyone who wants to listen.
I often say somethings that can be interpreted in more than one way, always take it the best way, as that is how it is meant.
I also get the redness below the neck thing when I drink, however I try to not let that stop me.
This should be good for the pictures ladies.
I also cannot drink beer as I am a gout sufferer, so it is all hard stuff for me.

About me, hmmmm.
Born in Texas, but have lived all over the world. I found out at last years Mousefest that I actually lived about 20 miles from Emiel when I was a kid. Cue up "It's a small world".
I don't drink, but had a ball at the DATW last December.
My husband is nuts, as you will all find out soon enough.
