Portraits with Mickey & Minnie

Mickey and Minnie's Cast Member escort told us that we still had some time before the cake cutting, so we went out into the foyer to take more pictures.

We looked over at the front doors and saw we had created quite the celebrity mob. There were all sorts of BoardWalk goers huddled around gawking and taking pictures of Mickey and Minnie. We all went back inside Atlantic Dance Hall and got ready for cake!

THESE ARE MY FAVORITE!!! <3!! LOVE THEM!!! Hahahaha Chris with Mickey and Minnie are too funny!!

I get choked up when I think about my Dad and Daughter dance too.. haha I think we feel the same about our daddies! :) Which is why 1/2 way through the song we busted out to Michael Jackson's Thriller.. it was so memorable and I knew if I had to slow dance any longer I would have lost it! :)

I LOVE YOUR WEDDING! Am I invited to your Vow Renewal? :lmao:

Okay, Danielle. Enough is enough. ;) I am running out of new ways to say that everything looks amazing! :lmao: But, don't stop sharing on that account.

* The photos of the first dances look lovely. Everyone involved looks choked up.
* Your Minnie & Mickey pics are adorable. It is amazing to me how much everyone seems to love when the characters come out. We are doing Donald and Daisy (I named my car Daisy) for ours and can't wait.
* The ones of the 2 of you with the mice are wonderful. I can only imagine you were drawing a crowd.

As always, keep em coming!

Oh my gosh, Danielle, these pictures are wonderful!!! I loved reading what you said about your dad. It sounds like you and your dad have a similar relationship to me and my dad! :)

Your wedding looks like it was absolutely fabulous! I really love the bridesmaids dresses (I've liked them all along, but especially now seeing them in action)! I too have a happy memory every time I hear "Sexy and I Know It" - my one year old nephew dances to it (aka holds onto a coffee table and shakes his booty)! I'm so glad you got to try all of the food and that Mickey and Minnie were such a hit! Too funny that one of the groomsmen wanted to sleep with Mickey!

you are amazing... thank you :flower3:

anyway... i'm loving the latest installment!! you have so many amazing pictures, i have no idea how you're going to get them all into an album!! the mickey/minnie pix are great... i never saw pix up that close that her dress is so sparkly and iridescent--love it! keep them coming!! :cheer2:

-That was such a good idea to play “Be Our Guest” during the buffet! Such a smartie.
-The speeches sound lovely. That was one of my favorite parts of my wedding.
-Kissing?!?! GET A ROOOOOOOOOOOOM
-Ha! Love Shack.
-The pictures of you dancing with your daddy are SO sweet, Danielle. (I am surprised that I am not also a blubbering mess over here!) Your relationship with your dad sounds like it’s a lot like the way mine was with my dad. <3
-The mother/son pictures are also very sweet. ☺
-The flower girl with Mickey picture! Gah!!!
-Also love your goofy little dance picture.
-LOL!!!!! I am so glad your groomsman did not make a move on Mickey. But, um, Danielle? What’s this about… “costumed characters”? Or being “inside a costume”? because Mickey is Mickey. Do you mean because he had on a tuxedo???
-Oh, you and Minnie spinning in your dresses is just priceless!

Okay, I’m all caught up. Love you!

LOVE it!!!! Your pictures are awesome! I love the father daughter dance! Every time I listen to the song my dad and I are going to dance to I lose it....I am going to be a mess!!! lol It looks like your guests had a great time! Did that groomsman ever get into Mickey's tights?!! :lmao: Your pictures with M&M are so sweet! You guys are honestly one of the cutest couples I can think of and I haven't even met you guys before!!! The pictures say it all! Keep it coming, loving the novel-ness of it!

Oh how I love them Mickey pictures! Gorgeous!

Thanks, lovey!

OH MY GOSH. I love love love your last photo!

Thank you!!!

•I decided to change my facebook profile picture because of your love for the Minnie one, lol.
•Yay, Thriller! :)
•Thanks! And, of course! ;) I can't decide between an in-park anniversary party or a DCL vow renewal. :lmao: YES, I have thought about it already.

Okay, Danielle. Enough is enough. ;) I am running out of new ways to say that everything looks amazing! :lmao: But, don't stop sharing on that account.

Oh my gosh, Danielle, these pictures are wonderful!!! I loved reading what you said about your dad. It sounds like you and your dad have a similar relationship to me and my dad! :)

•Aww, thank you! I'm happy to hear you liked the bridesmaids dresses. I was worried the whole time how they'd look together and I'm happy with my decision.
•Ahaha, that's too cute! I love little 1 year old booty dances!

•Heh, I haven't even started to think about albums...Hmmm. I'm in trouble.

•Thanks, I like being a smartie!
•I literally LOLed with the "kissing get a room" comment.
•That's exactly what I mean--Mice are usually nakie...he's a costumed character because he's clothed. ;)

Cake Cutting

We got set up behind the cake table and sliced away with, "When You Wish Upon A Star" playing in the background.

We both took a little cube of cake from Mickey and fed each other nicely. (NO cake smashing here! I warned Chris. :) )

This looks like a good piece…

Then our cake was whisked away to the back to be cut and served. Each guest had a slice of both flavors: lemon cake with raspberry filling and chocolate cake with Bailey's filling. The result was unanimous everyone loved the lemon cake with raspberry filling best. (Who would've thought with all the chocoholics we had?!)

The crowd pleaser

Then it was time for more dancing!

Bouquet Toss & Garter Toss

We got the signal from DJ Steve that it was time for the garter and bouquet toss, so I knew the night was quickly dwindling. :( I took my place on the chair and Chris quickly and politely retrieved my garter. (I've always been apprehensive about this tradition, ever since my brother scarred me from his wedding where he retrieved it from his wife with his teeth. As a 7 year old, I thought that gesture was repulsive…It still haunts me, barf.)

reception-183.jpg

reception-184.jpg

All the single guys grouped together and Chris tossed the garter with the "Space Jam Theme Song" playing. Oh, boys…

reception-189.jpg

reception-188.jpg

"Everybody get up it's time to slam now"
reception-190.jpg

"We got a real jam going down, welcome to the Space Jam"
reception-191.jpg

Look how ready groomsman Mike was!
reception-185.jpg

There he goes!
reception-186.jpg

There was a little competition
reception-192.jpg

Haha, he looks like he regrets it here
reception-187.jpg

Then all the ladies took the floor, "Single Ladies" started to play, and I got ready to toss the bouquet. I was told to toss it high and hard, so I did.

reception-193.jpg

reception-194.jpg

Well, I guess I don't know my own strength, because the bouquet went soaring over all the girls and under a table.

reception-195.jpg

reception-196.jpg

reception-197.jpg

But my sister-in-law, Katherine went and got it!
reception-198.jpg

And then the best part: the bestowal.

reception-199.jpg

reception-201.jpg

reception-202.jpg

Aye, getting a little close there aren't cha, Mike?
reception-203.jpg

They were both good sports and began to slow dance. Swoon, so cute.

reception-205.jpg

reception-200.jpg

Look at that face, HAH!
reception-207.jpg

There ya go, it's over!
reception-204.jpg

Then all of our guests flooded onto the dance floor once more--everyone knew there just a little bit of dance time left.

Getting Sloppy & End of Reception

Our guests split up and formed two lines on each side of the floor, while pairs took turns dancing down the line to "We Are Family".

Boy group hug/dance
reception-263.jpg

DJ Steve announced we were moving into the final dance and told everyone to get on the dance floor! We chose "Last Dance" which was perfect. Everyone danced hard, threw their hands up, and cheered. Our reception had officially ended and it was perfect.

reception-266.jpg

Our guests gathered their belongings and then were escorted down the BoardWalk and back to the busses. Some even tried their luck at the lobster-pot game, while sobering up, haha. We said goodbye to our photographers, gave Carol a big hug, and slowly trailed behind everyone else.

Even though we were all exhausted, we headed for our next stop: Epcot for our dessert party!

To be continued…

Aww, I'm sad that the reception pictures have come to an end! Everything came out so amazing, and you two are just so photogenic! :goodvibes

-Did you not want to cut your cake? It’s so pretty!
-Awwwww love the Minnie picture.
-Now I want cake!
-Ha! I love the Mickey glove pictures! Little girl with big hands!
-I’m sorry, but I giggled a little picturing a terrified-of-the-garter 7 year old Danielle
-Ha! People do look a little… sloppy. But happy!
-OMG HE LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THE PIRATES AT THE END SCENE!!!! I am dying here.
-And I agree with Kirsten up there: you two are sickeningly photogenic.

Oh I am crying b/c the reception is over and I know that the end of your TR will be upon us soon. But it is sooooooooooooooooooooo fun reading and seeing all the amazing pictures. You guys look great and everything turned incredible.

When I got to the end of the last update I was like "Nooooo!! It can't end!!!" And then, it didn't...there's a dessert party on the horizon. EXCITED!

Your reception looks like fun.

Love the character pics. Did you have them for just the 30 minutes?

The father/daughter dance was so sweet. I started tearing up just from your words of how much he means to you....Plus Elvis!!!

I love love love all of your pictures! Your wedding looks like it must have been a lot of fun! Looks like you had several characters there as well, haha.

I was so happy to see the pictures of your linens and such since we're using the same colors. I absolutely loved what you used!
