Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

Thank you, Bethie sweetie! I'm so happy I chose the jewelry I did--I loved it so much!

OH MAN--Yep, we are on the North Shore, so we initially set up our tux account with the Men's Warehouse in Danvers! They are the ones that are cookoo! I agree, I think Carolyn Allen's is the way to go! :thumbsup2

Aww, thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words!

Danielle,

I am up on the North Shore all the time, especially Danvers. Love their Michaels. :) It's a very small world.

We have an appt. with Carolyn Allen's when we go down in June to look, so hopefully that will work for us.

Love the welcome bags, especially the tea bags and the taffy. I may now have to start thinking again. :) Beach Club would be easy, but Coronado could require some real thought. Hhhmmm.

I love the Reuben Dog at Gasparillas. One of my favorite foods at Disney. Sounds weird, but tastes so good.

Can't wait for more updates!

Hollywood Studios

We planned for this day to be solely dedicated to park time in Hollywood Studios! (We always seem to start with Magic Kingdom or Epcot and end up getting drained by the time we get to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.) We woke up, got ready, and headed down to catch one of the buses. I thought we were going to be super late for rope drop, but we got there about 15 minutes prior. My goal was to RACE to Toy Story Midway Mania because neither of us had been on it! The ropes dropped and we ran in the stampede towards the fastpass machines. We got to the ride and noticed the stand-by line was only 15 minutes so we decided just to wait. While we were in line I got a phone call from my wedding planner, Carol. (She could tell we were in the parks because of the noise level on my end.) :rotfl: She was updating us with slight changes to our dessert party schedule. Illuminations was scheduled to go off at 10:00 pm on wedding night, so our reception and dessert party were going to run a little longer, free of charge. :thumbsup2 (We get to keep the party going just a little longer. :cool1: ) I hung up with Carol and told her I'd see her soon! We moved through the rest of the queue quite quickly...and soon got to this guy!:

Step right up!

Chris and I got on the ride and enjoyed every minute of it! It was so much fun! Of course, we were very competitive and took our scores very seriously. Even though I had the top score after the first scene, Chris ended up winning overall.

Not bad for first-timers, right?
DSC05888.jpg

After Toy Story, we ran over to my favorite ride in Hollywood Studios, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and got fast passes! Then we went and rode our other favorites: The Great Movie Ride and Muppet Vision 3-D.

DSC05891.jpg

Then we ran back to go on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster! Those are the only rides we ever seem to go on when we go to Hollywood Studios, so I was really surprised that we managed to get all of those done so quickly. (The lines at this time of year were so short and fast!) We decided to try new Star Tours next!

The force is with us!
DSC05892.jpg

And then onto the Studio Backlot Tour, which I thought was really awesome!

The best picture opportunity.
DSC05894.jpg

We got out off of the Studio Backlot Tour and started to walk out towards the Streets of America when these guys were tucked back in a corner and I nearly flipped out!

We scare because we care.
DSC05901.jpg

By this time we had done most everything we wanted to try, so we headed over to 50's Prime Time Cafe to see if we could be seated for our lunch reservation early. :) This was another first time experience for us and I absolutely loved it. What a great atmosphere! My parents were really jealous that we got to go and they told us we have to go back with them next time! :rotfl:

Pina Colava.
DSC05902.jpg

Soon we were seated at an awesome corner table with one of the t.v.'s, where Chris made himself right at home! :rotfl:

This is my vacation, too!
DSC05904.jpg

We had our delicious lunch--I got the pot roast:

My favorite meal!
DSC05907.jpg

After lunch we decided to head back to the Grand Floridian to meet up with my parents and grandparents who had already landed in Orlando! I was so excited to see everyone--especially at our meet and greet that was later that night! So we headed back towards the buses and posed with the Christmas tree on the way out.

Oh, Christmas tree, Oh, Christmas tree!

Hey Danielle!

So glad you're doing a TR! I watched the wedding online and saw all the photos on FB but it's nice to have a sort of commentary to it!! lol You looked absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to hear more!

* I love Toy Story Mania! DH usually beats me, but I usually have a higher accuracy rate!
* So glad you got on Backlot Tours, it's one of my favorites!
* I was at 50's Prime Time when I was 16 with a group of friends and it was a ton of fun! I don't remember the food at all because we were having so much fun interacting with the waiters and waitresses.
* That is an awesome Christmas tree!

Yayyy more updates!

-Oh wow! I didn’t realize you’d never been on TSMM!
-That’s actually exciting about your DP running longer. :goodvibes
-Um… I have never gotten a score that high. :lmao:
-I’ve been quoting Muppet Vision all this month! I am unbearable.
-Mmmmm that pot roast looks delish!

My sweet Danielle - Just checking in!!! I love the welcome bags and the door sign. You got a great room at the GF!!! I so love that resort!!

Thanks for following along, Joanne! :)

It is such a small world! I love that Michaels too! I don't know if you ever went into the Disney Store in the Northshore Mall, but that's where I worked! (Until we closed. :sad1: )

Thanks! Glad you like the welcome bag idea. Maybe you could do something like Mexican hot chocolate for Coronado Springs? That one is a little trickier...

Backlot Tour was amazing! It made me wanna work in the art departments we drove by.

I LOVED that tree. One of my favorites we saw.

I know, I'm such a deprived theme park goer! I loved Toy Story so much.
Having a longer dessert party was so fun...except for the cold, but that's for another day. ;)
AND YES. I had pot roast yesterday and thought of you! Hahaha. I love it so much.

Your trip sounds fabulous thus far and you looked gorgeous in your dress! That picture of the pot roast is makin' me drool! I don't know about you, but I'm ready to go back WDW! Oh and I just saw that today is Walt Disney's birthday - I wonder if they do anything special in honor of his birthday?!

Danielle,

I used to go to that Disney store all the time. Wow! I miss that one and the one in Burlington. South Shore Plaza is too far (I have become a native North of Bostonian and hate going south ;)) and Square One in Saugus is just too scary for me.

Again, I absolutely love your Savor the Flavor bags (going to steal the idea directly, hope you don't mind) Even did the labels similarly too. :rotfl:. Thanks for the suggestion of Mexican hot chocolate, hadn't thought of that one. I did think tequila, but decided against it. I googled Mexican candy and found Margarita jelly bellys. So I went up to Beantown at Jordan's in Reading and picked up a small bag of margarita, strawberry daiquiri, pina colada, mojito and peach bellini (didn't fit with Mexico, but love bellinis). Paul and I did a tast test and I think we are going with margarita, strawberry daiquiri and the pina colada for Coronado Springs. For Beach Club, I think salt water taffy would be perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!

I can't believe you were at DHS that morning, we were too! And we ran to TSMM at the rope drop. You must have been just ahead of us on everything. Wow! We had a reservation at 50s for lunch, but decided to hope the boat to Epcot and do the food and wine fest for lunch, where we met Justine and Adam (donald&daisy), as we were waiting on the dock. Sorry we missed you, but maybe some day at Michael's in Danvers. :lmao:

Quick question, I remember some of your e-pics were done at Wilderness. We are planning on doing a photo shoot there so we can use them in a photopass photo book as a guest book (I think you did this, too!). Any suggestions on must-have shots? We have stayed there a couple of times and I have some in my mind, but wanted another opinion. Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing your big day.

Danielle sweetie - Loving the photo with Mike and Sully!!! I love the monsters and cannot wait for the new Monsters film to come out!!

Wow, Beth--You might have come in my store when I was working and I didn't even know it! I too miss the Burlington location. :sad2: And I just found out this weekend that they are closing ANOTHER location in New England. :headache: I'm so bummed. Some of my cast transferred to the Saugus store, so I go there to visit but it's really scary, just like you said.

I'm so glad you like the treat bags! The jellybeans are a great idea, especially those flavors. (I love Jordan's Furniture!) Taffy is perfect for the Beach Club too.

I can't believe we were in Hollywood Studios the same day!!! That's really amazing. And yes, one day at the Danver's Michales!!! :lmao:

For your photo shoot--My personal favorite locations at Wilderness Lodge were on the wooden bridge path going towards the boat dock and in front of Silver Creek Falls.

I just caught up! Its so awesome everything ran longer! ! cant wait for more!

Thanks! Updating soon! :thumbsup2

Danielle sweetie - Loving the photo with Mike and Sully!!! I love the monsters and cannot wait for the new Monsters film to come out!!

Joanne, I'm so excited for the new Monsters Inc. movie as well! They are lovely characters. :)

Meet & Greet - Yehaa Bob

The two of us headed back to the Grand Floridian and met up with my parents, grandparents, aunt and aunt's fiancé. We sat outside of Gasparilla's, next to the marina, and visited for about an hour. I hadn't seen my aunt in 8 years, so it was really fun to relax and catch up with her. My family started to fade quickly, (they had been traveling all morning, after all), so they went up to their rooms to nap.

Chris and I decided to go to Downtown Disney for a bit, since we had to transfer buses there anyways. A few members of our bridal party were already there, so we met up with them and played in the Lego Store.

From here, the group of us decided to head back to the buses and make our way to Port Orleans Riverside! I wanted to get there early so we could claim a section of seats close together. We went into the River Roost Lounge and took the remaining 5 tables and waited for more guests to trickle in. We had about 30 people show up to this event, which I thought was a great size. We ordered some drinks and appetizers and waited for the show to start. I ran to the restroom before the show started, which meant I missed Bob coming around to our tables to ask what we were celebrating, so when I came back he called up, "Danielle and Chris who are getting married this weekend!" to participate. We ended up having to lead a small train around the room. Once the song was over, I went back to my seat. My whole table then proceeded to say, "Danni, what have you brought us to?! This guy is clearly high on something." :rotfl: I told them I didn't know, I had never seen the show before, but to just keep drinking and going along with it.

I'm pretty sure Yehaa Bob liked our rowdy group, because then he called up my aunt to participate!

Singing next to Bob.

Everyone started to enjoy themselves, that or the booze started to kick in, either way there was a lot of laughing going on!

My small table.

DSC05918.jpg

We sang-a-long to quite a few songs, when Bob decided it was time to get up and move some more! :lmao: He called up all the girls in the audience to participate and before we knew it we were all doing the Can-can! (Or as my one Maid of Honor liked to call it, the Cannot-cannot. :rotfl: )

Can-can / Cannot-cannot.
DSC05945.jpg

Then it was the guys turn! "Maniacal laugh, maniacal laugh." ;) Bob had all the guys doing the YMCA and the rest of us were in stitches. I laughed so hard watching Chris' dad dance.

"You can hang out with all the boys..."
DSC05965.jpg

About half of the group had decided to leave at this point, since it was getting late and our wedding rehearsal was scheduled early the next morning. The rest of our group stayed until Yehaa Bob took his intermission. We paid off our bills and then Bob called us up for a fun group photo! Bob told me to climb on up on his piano and sit next to him. I was really worried I was going to break his piano, but he assured me it was fine. So after making some music with my feet, I made it on top of his piano. :thumbsup2 He wished us well on our upcoming wedding and then we snapped this photo. It's one of my favorites from the whole trip!

So much fun!
DSC05972.jpg

I'm so happy I decided to go with Yehaa Bob for our meet and greet. I wanted to choose something that was budget friendly, since many of our friends just scraped by to attend the wedding. It was virtually free, unless guests bought food or drink. And it was great Disney entertainment! Everyone needs to experience this show--it was awesome!

We traveled back to the Grand Floridian to get some sleep. Our rehearsal and lunch were just hours away!

To be continued...

Ohhhh this looks like SO much fun! (and haha at the lego statue the guys built. Chris would do the same thing and be all proud of himself.)

I've never been to Yeha Bob, but now I definitely want to go! I love that group shot of you all. :goodvibes

Ok, I have to admit..I've never seen Yeeha Bob...but I'm going to have to go now!

Glad to know I am not over reacting about Saugus. When I told Paul my two choices of Disney stores, if I needed to go, even he preferred I go to South Shore. :) I also hate driving on Route 1 and avoid it all costs too. That stinks that another store closing. Why can't they get this right?

Thanks for all the inspiration. I mentioned them on Saturday night to our best friends and they loved the idea. They suggested I look for the beans at Jordans, so clearly a good idea. I love that store! I am sitting on my new Jordans sofa as I am typing this. :)

I am now always on the look out when I am at Michaels or the North Shore Mall. :rotfl:

Thanks for the suggestion for photos ar Wilderness. I definitely love those 2 spots. We also love the bridge in the lobby. It is such a great location.

Awesome meet and greet idea. I have never seen Bob and think we are going to have to on a subsequent trip. He looks like a lot of fun!

As always, can't wait to read more. :dance3:

I'm hoping they are closing the outdated stores to make way for the new IP stores! :wizard: Let's hope!

When I was doing my Christmas shopping in Peabody and Danvers I kept an eye out for you too!

Bob was so much fun!

Thanks--Another installment coming up. :)
