Wonder Falls, Fox's wonderfully quirky new show, has been canceled after only 4 episodes. This was rapidly becoming my favorite show, but it hadn't yet found its ratings and Fox was unwilling to wait. This decision comes from the network that is bring ing us "The Swan", perhaps the most repugnant reality show concept ever conceived.

(sigh) I don't know why I expeected it to succeed. After all, it was intelligent, funny and well written. We can't have something like that on the air. The timeslot is better taken up by quality reality shows like "Who Wants to Marry a Troglodite?".

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I absolutly LOVED the writing on that show...one of the BEST shows on Fox if you ask me. Quirky, hip, sassy...loved it!

where did you hear this?!? I need sources!

:(

You've got to be kidding? DH & I really liked this show. :(

dang it

thanks WDWHound - I appreciate it.

Well - we all know the kiss of death in TV land.

1. Put show on Friday night.
2. Move show after 2 weeks to Thursday night up against new CSI.
3. Make people find the show on their own when it moves BACK to Friday night.

oye. (see - I just let my Tivo find it for me. heheh)

Here is the official announcement from the show's producer:

Well, not sure what to tell ya'll -- but we're cancelled. Effective at once. The cow creamer will be silent this Thursday and forever forward.

Once we recover from the not-shock, Todd, Bryan and I will see if there's some venue in which to air the remaining episodes. As I have said from the start, the thirteen taken as a whole tell a story and go to a place, so a run of this "limited" series would not be unsatisfying elsewhere. It's a question as to whether the studio will want to invest in a DVD release of a failed series. Maybe the episodes will sit in a warehouse someplace with that sled and the arc of the covenant.

Thanks for all the support and enthusiasm.

Tim

I know, bummer. Why did they even bother to move it to Thursday?

Everytime I find a new show I like, it gets cancelled. UGH.

This is very unusual for Fox. They're usually willing to give shows more time than this from what I've seen. Four episodes?

Nothing like giving a show a chance to find an audience ! The networks have become so bad at finding a winner, and they are too dumb to understand why.

Geeze, that really stinks . . .I liked that show . . .:(

I think the other show that I was watching got the boot too. It hasn't been on in 2 weeks. It was on right before WonderFalls . . .Playing it Straight . . .

I like Tru Calling too, but since it goes up against Survivor I can never watch it . . .and I'm too lazy to tape it . . .

I feel bad for Tim Minear. First Firefly, now Wonderfalls. Plus Angel will be gone, so he can't go back there either. :(

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat through all kinds of crappy shows on Friday night trying to catch Wonderfalls! I was excited about having another show that was actually worth making a point to see every week. I loved it!!

I had the feeling that would happen, but then I had that feeling when I found Scrubs. Luckily, it found an audience, but it sure took a while.
