Jumping on the bandwagon of femal judge haters carrie ann or something like that? she was AWFUL with her scoring last night, don't know why but i just didn't get any good vibes from her last night.

As for Drew vs Stacy (and I am not a huge Stacy fan) Stacy was unbeleivable last night. Drew was great, but Stacy was memsmorising. (ack my speeling!!!)

BUT I have to go back and watch the show again (yay TiVo) becasue it has occured to me that when the couples are dancing I only watch the star and not their partner.... I have no idea how well Stacy's partner did compared to Drew and no idea how Drew's partner danced compared to Stacy... and I wonder if the judges watch both.... does that make sense??

I also didnt vote this week. I TiVo everything and by the time I could watch it last night it was past the voting window. I will cast my one internet vote for Tia though, since I think she is most at risk this week...

I HATE HOW THE VOTING WORKS!!! I like the fact that they limit the number of times you can call in, but they need to keep the phone lines open at least 3 hours after the show, and NOT open them before the show ends. The voting is enough to get me to stop watch, way more than the Master P farce.

I was over the 'fight' scene for the group dance. And when the stars all went to the corner to get away from it... too funny!!! And did anyone notice how poorly Jerry did on the group dance... His solo was fine, but when he was 'background' dancing he was only taking 1 step while everyone else took 6....

Ok.. enough from me (for now) lol

I don't necessarily agree that Drew deserved the same score as Stacy. However unfair this may seem, the problem is Stacy is a female and just looks better dancing. I think Drew is great too, but he just doesn't have the flair that Stacy does. Mine is still tivo'd and I'm going to watch it again. This time I'm going to focus more on the partner rather than the star. I think they should have one female and one male winner. It's just too hard to judge a female dancer against a male dancer.

Did you see how mad Jerry Rice's partner was when they got their scores. They did way better then George! Yes George is charming, but he can't dance. Isn't that what the judges are suppose to score - the dancing?

I'd be happy with either Stacy or Drew winning this one. They're about even in my view. Plus they both have dancing backgrounds so they're pretty even in that regard too.

The fight was hilarious! Funny how it was the professionals who got so angry.

I thought so too and couldn't really blame them for being confused over the scoring.

I totally agree, as I stated earlier, about the scoring being WAY off last night! ESP George's score! Give me a break!!!!!!!
And, Jerry Rice works his butt off..he TRULY does try and it is showing. He may not be the winner, but man, he Definitely deserves Most Improved in my book!!

Stacey has alot more of a dance background than Drew. Drew had rhythm, yes, before he started this...and he could hip hop..but that holds no candles to Staceys dance background. She took MANY years of ballet, tap, jazz.... (I took many forms of dance for a very long time) and it is VERY noticeable that Stacey has and it has been obvious since the beginning...Stacey has an edge to everyone else in the competition because of her background. And, her job is a TAD easier because she doesn't have to LEAD like Drew.

I agree with the statement made above that there should be one male winner and one female winner. The 2 "jobs" are totally different.

I don't know about that. I was saying the opposite last night. They girls are the ones everyone looks at. They have to be pretty and graceful and have perfect extensions. Every move is critisized. I think the men get a little more leway if they make mistakes. Just look at George.

It's funny, but when I watched the show this morning, I made a conscious effort to watch the pro, not just the celeb. While I don't think that Drew is suffering because he has to learn to lead, rather than be led, I think there is a huge difference in scoring women vs. men. Even with the pro's, you can see a difference between the two. The women just naturally are more, ah...noticable and flashy. With those costumes, and the shaking and jiggling body parts, it's hard for the men to compete. But, I have to say...I am loving watching the men this year...well, the pro men, as well as Drew. George and Jerry just aren't getting it done for me.
Maybe at some point, they will divide the sexes, and have a show with just celeb men, and then with celeb women. Or judge them apart if they are on the same show....you get to vote for a male favorite and a female favorite each week. But, that will probably never happen. Kind of like that other dance contest show, but where they switched partners each week...can't remember the name at the moment.

Yep - I was sucked into that show as well.

I found it interesting that Drew lost a point from each judge for having 'peculiar' shoulders, but George only lost 2 points for not dancing the correct dance.

Agree about the voting. Before Drew and Cheryl had even danced, I had my votes in for them. They were the last couple to dance and I knew the phone lines would be clogged! It truly doesn't make any sense. I agree - limit the calls per phone line, but have the open time be longer than 30 minutes following the show.

"you dance even better than some of the professionals"

All the pros were pretty insulted and angry. i agree with them how about you? do you think stacey is better than the pros?

I agree. I watch alot of am a spectator to alot of dance competitions and also found that comment quite offensive. Stacey is NOT even close to a professional ballroom dancer. She is graceful, yes, but THAT good...NO WAY!

I agree with Drew. If you watch the sequence where the professionals show us the dance you can see the difference.

I believe Edyta was the female last night and no way did she dance the same with the pro. male as she did with George. She definitely has to tone it down for him or it would look totally rediculous.

I agree completely!! If the pros danced as well as they are capable, the celebs would REALLY look bad! Think about the beginning of Tia's dance... I think Maksim was kicking it up a little when he danced out to her. If he always danced like that, she would have been gone a long time ago. Maybe that's why the judges didn't understand that she was supposed to be moving slowly, since that was the story her dance was telling.
