Dancing with the Stars - Season 4: Official Thread

That was awesome, I loved it!!!!!!

What a fun routine. So glad they got to have fun like that.

I totally missed the group dance :( :furious: it was a good moment on HEROES! :sad2:

I'm sure they will replay it tomorrow during the waaaay too long elimination show!

I thought Ians dance deserved higher scores though!

Does anyone know if ABC re broadcasts Dancing with the Stars? I have missed over half the show because our local station decided to repeat the same sentence over and over for 45 minutes. "Bad weather, stay away from the windows" They act as if this is the first time bad storms have ever come through the area. ARRRGGGGHHHHH

I gave up on KDKA and switched over to the Youngstown, OH station. I didn't hear anything about a rebroadcast.

Poor Ian, he is trying but the judges are not letting up.
Yes he is. I think his hips are not connected with his legs but his waist. He dances and he looks like Popeye with his legs going every whichway and and his top half staying together. His hips need to be with his legs and his waist needs to be a transition between his top and bottom. I try to like Ian, I really do. But he's just above Billy Rae for me.

:rotfl: BIG UH OH!!!:scared1:
What was the big uh oh? I don't remember.

I really liked Apolo and Julianne again tonight. I think they might be my favorites. They are just a really great team. I really really like Ian and I'm hoping he can just bring it in the next few weeks. Laila and her partner are really good too.

I usually just read but wanted to chime in today :)

I really liked Apollo last night. I have always favored Joey but it's hard not to give Apollo credit because he is soooooo good!

On a side note to mix a little DWS and Dis...on a trip to the World in Oct 05, Joey Fatone rode the Haunted Mansion 2 cars ahead of me :cool1: He was there with his daughter and a few other people.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't like Apollo's dance last night. Actually, I think it's a stretch to call it a dance because there wasn't really much formal footwork at all. It was all just kind of chair sitting! :confused3 I usually like him, though.

My favorite is Joey-- I really hope he wins!

Me too! I really like Ian. I had heard that maybe the judges are giving him a hard time, because they don't want Cheyl to have a win 3 times in a row.

:rotfl2: I agree!

I do think the judges are particularly hard on Ian for some reason, and extremely easy on Heather. If you watch Heather with the assumption that she has 2 good legs, she is not that impressive. I love Apolo and Julianne and also Joey. You can tell by Edyta's face last night that she is expecting elimination tonight. I feel bad for her. They always stick her with the older guys. Didn't she also have George Hamilton one time?

WARNING: Catty comment below...

With Heather getting so many of Paul McCartney's millions, don't you think she could spend a little to get those teeth fixed??

I think her teeth look fine-- they're not terribly crooked and they give her character. It seems like everyone has to have perfect veneer covered teeth these days. I'm glad she doesn't!

I agree they are overly critizing Ian. I think he is one of the best 4 left. They are not giving scoring him like everyone else. I don't think they are scoring Joey like everyone else either- IMO.

Hey, how come Heather didn't do the group dance? She said something about having to learn two dances. :confused3

She was there, she just missed the rehearsal. She was in the corner and on the end most of the dance, it was hard to spot her. Towards the end they had their "solo" part.

We're wondering that too (whether they're afraid people will think it's becoming the Cheryl Show). DH and I both think Ian is better than his scores. The judges seem to bend over backwards to criticize him and then show split personalities when Heather Mills dances and go out of the way to congratulate her. I really thought she was the worst last night, and I'm hoping she goes home tonight.

Really fun show last night! I taped Heroes so got to watch the whole thing. Enjoying the whole "Laila and Max" show, Laila really seems to have set Max free! He's a complete goofball this season, and I've never seen him show that much personality in his dances. I'm lovin' it.

Little Apolo and Julianne are adorable still, and I agree that a final with these two couples would be grand. He barely sat in that chair, really. It was for mood setting more than anything, I liked it. Loved the split up from the floor, that was really unique. Told my DD she really missed something by not seeing Derek. And honestly, Apolo and Derek probably DID dance together, just off camera. It's so much more effective to be able to SHOW someone what it should feel like to lead/follow than to TELL them. And that usually takes a little same sex partnering to show correctly. I'm female, and I used to teach both sexes in West Coast Swing.

I have to say, Cheryl who? Julianne, Edyta, and Laila are the alpha females on this show!

And yet, I'm enjoying Joey too, what a Showman. I thought he did great, and he's looking pretty sexy. Actually, I like everyone this year. It's a good season!

NORM!!! I squeed. Brought DH in from the other room to see what I was yelling about.

She did dance and I am surprised that no one noticed she messed up her solo part. Her partner just about dragged her off the stage. It looked like she was supposed to jump up on him with her legs straddled around his waste but one leg fell and he couldn't do anything but pull her off. I think they didn't show much of her because she didn't practice it as much as everyone else as she was overseas.
