Dancing With the Stars - Fall 2021

I have been watching all season, but obviously not posting.

Welcome!

I have really enjoyed watching two women dance. And have thought both Jenna and Jojo have been a joy to take in. Obviously I am in the minority, laughing.

I don't have a problem with 2 women dancing. I have a problem with the show slanting her to win over the others. And I have a problem with JoJo's personality.

I really loved watching Jimmie and was sad to see him go. (Why new artist award? Confused. I saw him the first time on the Today show years ago. And it is how I found out about Tim Tracker, as Jimmie talked about how obsessed he was with him and WDW. That had to be almost three years ago, so new artist?)

Maybe it depends on how high up the charts his song(s) get?

I was confused by that too. I saw him honoring Garth Brooks on the Kennedy Center Honors show and it seemed like he had been around a while.

Suni is frustrating for me as I feel there is just something held back every time. I suspect because there is such an intense need for perfection in her sport that it is extra hard to partake in something, in competition, that you are not a pro at - in the moment.

I think it's her mentality and belief in herself, or in this case, the lack of it. She probably wouldn't have won the Olympic gold had Simone not dropped out. So, she still is doubting herself and what she's able to do.

However, it could have been her mentality all along that always made her come in second or third to Simone in the first place. Know what I mean? :upsidedow

We've had Jenna shoved in our faces for so long we forgot how amazing Cheryl is. She was on fire in that tango.

It has been surprising to see her lack of belief in herself.

Hope it all improves for her in these last weeks.

(She is now talking about the weight of the world on her, after the Olympics. So we feel what she is verbalizing, in most of her dances.)

I realize that Imzadi.:thumbsup2

My "Obviously I am in the minority" was attached to them being a joy to watch. I have absolutely loved them. There was one week I thought was so-so but the rest I thought were exquisite.
They were very good in their redemption dance.

::yes::

That was Suni's best dance. Sasha putting all the gymnastics in the choreography really put her in her element.
He should have been showcasing that all along. Lord knows all the other gymnasts got to dance to their acrobatic strengths. It's what was missing for Suni.

She was, but she danced around Cody too much.

The opening scene was Leopoldo Stokowski’s opening in Fantasia.

He actually had 3 other Olympians as partners, including Simone.

So, I wonder if Suni was the one who didn't want to put too much of her gymnastics in earlier? :scratchin

I thought that too. There was one really obvious moment when he just stood there and kicked back his right leg a couple times while Cheryl did all the moves. I actually wondered if he forgot his choreography as Cheryl usually doesn't choreograph like that.
