Dancing with the Stars--Cast Revealed

I'm glad I am not the only one not clicking with Mya. I do think she is probably the best dancer, but I don't get excited to watch her dances if that makes any sense.

Last night my favorite was Joanna and Derek's futuristic dance which I would not have predicted because I tend not to like futuristic looks! He's a great choreographer!

I guess I am the only one here who likes Mya. I love her attitude. That stuff from last night was just "made for TV drama." They do something like that with each couple each week.

I voted as much as I could for her because she is quite simply the best dancer there and her second dance with Dimitri was the best dance of the season.

Most of the other stars are still letting their dancer do the majority of the work. That's just my opinion. I don't understand why some of you would want Mya to be eliminated even though you would admit that she is the best dancing star on the show.

Mya's 1st dance was OK. It was very well executed, but Dimitri's choreography was junk.

Her 2nd dance was unbelievable. I told my husband during the prep scenes that the dance would be really good. Why? Because they had that "made for TV" drama where Dimitri was apparently having a choreography block ... lol. Yeah, right. That's all used to butter up the audience. It's just fluff.

Derek is THE best choreographer on the show. Joanna would probably not be in the competition if she was with another choreographer (she was in the bottom two in one of the early weeks). I really like how each week Derek comes out with something innovative.

I started to dislike Kelly after last week because I bought into the "made for TV drama" that they were making her do in the prep scenes. This week, she executed very well and proved that she is worthy of being in the top 5.

Donny seems to be losing steam. I was really rooting for him, but I think he has reached his peak. I am amazed at how well he is doing for his age. It's unbelievable. But also, I don't think people should be handicapped because of that. I see him getting into next week because of fan support, but based of dancing, he probably should get the axe this week.

Aaron will be eliminated this week because of a lack of fan support. He is a top 4 dancer in my opinion, but he is a bit too intense to garner appeal from the viewers at home.

I have to wait until I get home to watch "last night's" show. The Steeler game pre-empted the broadcast. Our local station showed it this morning. At least we won the game. And "Castle" won't be on until 2am Wednesday morning. I can watch it on my day off.

Derek is THE best choreographer on the show.

I wish So You Think You Can Dance would ask him to choreograph like they did Kelly's dance partner. What he does now with nonprofessionals is great but with someone who is a dancer, he would be awesome.

I love that song Lucky or what ever it is called that Derek and Joanna danced to. The problem is, I don't know the real name or who originally recorded it. Any help on that would be appreciated.

I used to be rooting for Mya all the way, but after last night I'm really hoping Joanna and Derek take home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

I still like Mya, but it seems like Joanna has improved more and I actually think she's as good a dancer as Mya. In the beginning Mya was clearly the front runner in the competition. Not anymore.

I just saw a commercial that Maks and Kym Johnson will be in the Broadway show Burn the Floor starting I think Nov 17th (?) for a limited engagement.


Anyways, we will go back to whiting out the one who goes home tonght. That was my bad last week in blurting out Mark was being sent home, instead of whiting it out, for the West Coast people, who may want to peak in and read about us talking about it, but not find out the result until they watch. Sorry everyone. I was really upset by the bum rap that Mark got because of Anna. I personally think Kelly should have gone home over Mark.

I do agree with the person who said the judges were being careful with Kelly becaiuse she's so emotionally fragile. While her dancing gets better each week, and they are awarding her points according to that, IMO, she is not in the league of the other four dancers. Mark should been there instead of her.

I think Derek is the most talented choreographer on the show, by far.
Can you imagine what we might have had to endure if any of the other pros had drawn futuristic Paso?

Along those lines... I think Donny is doing really well, but I'm not sure Kym's choreography can get him all the way to the top. Does anyone else think she should have insisted on better costuming for their 80's dance?

I'm certainly not a Karinna fan, but I was impressed that she insisted on sticking around, even though she was sick. Maybe she knew Anna was the pro on call and it would be a repeat of poor Mark last week. Of course I'm ready for AAron to be gone, so I would have been fine with that.

It is too bad that Mya wasn't paired with Maks. I would have loved to have seen those sparks fly.

Mya is a very good dancer, I just can't get excited about her and/or Dmitry for some reason. maybe it's partly because they don't seem able to connect with each other either.

I think Kelly is the weakest dancer left in the competition, but that doesn't always mean much.

It will be interesting to see how the fan votes fall tonight.

I think HE should have insisted on better costuming. It was like the costume designer purposely sabotaged him. I think overall packaging really affects the votes. Look at how great Joanna & Derek's look really went into making them have a spectacular, tight, futuristic performance. it set the tone and the style for the whole dance.

Donny's look was a traffic accident. If he goes home instead of Aaron or Kelly, a lot of it will be because of that joke of a costume.


The judges tell Mya to get rid of all the gimmicks and then Donny is put into that horrible mishmash. I have to wonder if it's not a setup on the part of the producers & costume designer. Let's purposely handicap a dancer this week, so another dancer can move forward with votes. Why in the world would they purposely sabotage a performance when the competition is so tight now?

Donny should have stood up for himself and said, "I'm not wearing that joke of a costume. This is a serious competiton now. I need every advantage I can get. Make me a costume that enhances my performance, not makes me the butt of jokes for the evening."

I blamed Kym since she's the pro dancer, and she definitely should have been aware of how that costuming would work during the dance... or not!

But it's not like Donny is new to the whole to performance and costuming thing either. You're right, he's to blame as well.

Looks like the show should be starting for you East Coast folks, I've still got hours to wait. Maybe I'll check back for news early.

I DO agree with the who the bottom two were, but I think Aaron did better than Kelly. I think they are still keeping her around as a boost to her "fragile ego." I wouldn't be surprised if the producers push for her to win so they can have a "DWTS winner who has overcome great adversity" winner. makes for great a family show. But, this isn't Celebrity Rehab DWTS.

I also think it's interesting that Len gave that speech to Aaron at the end. Like he was saying, "You were better, but we have to keep Kelly because..."

I feel bad for Aaron even though I am not a fan of his. He DID transform throughout the season from being an uptight, intense person to a more easy going guy. Best wishes to his future success.

He is a better dancer than Kelly, and the popularity contest is starting to show. I am pretty sure that the final two will be D Mya vs. D Joanna. Kelly will be gone next week. Bank on it, unless if someone gets injured.


Also, were any of you turned off by how Kelly reacted to the results. I know that she should be happy about not being eliminated, but she didn't hold anything back. Most of the time, the couple who isn't eliminated in the final two just bows their head and smiles a bit, then hugs their partner. Kelly was open mouthed smilling and laughing while clapping her hands and jumping. She has to learn how to compose herself much like Aaron has learned throughout the season. Anyway, can't wait till next week ...
