Ok yes, that was definitely out of line. You can report the post if you want to. But really.....I mean, I "hate" the Yankees, because I am a Red Sox fan (born in Boston, baby!!). But that's it! We can have a friendly spar and still remain CIVIL! I don't think you're the magnet, but that's definitely a "weirdo." Some people honestly don't have anything better to do with their time than find something to complain about (to put it lightly, in this case).

.....and if you were from THIS area, chances are you'd be a Yankees fan....or vice-versa, and I'd probably be a Sox fan....yeah, DISpeeps can have some 'friendly' sparring without being insensitive JERKS!

Its this wonderful sea of humanity that has caused me to take long breaks from the Dis from time to time. My life in general can be very busy and stressful and the last thing I need is the nastiness generated on here. A Disney site of all places ......

My day has started pretty cool (well, despite some 'tude from DS15....). When I took DS10 to school, as we turned onto that street, there was a huge, full rainbow right there in front of us!! Beautiful!

Good morning. Still having trouble with my email. I need to go to town to pick up my pay since she forgot to pay me AGAIN yesterday. Must remember to start wearing a jacket when I leave the house in the morning. We've had a few nights in the 30's, but mostly around 44 when I leave. 44 is jacket worthy. I have not been warm enough in a sweatshirt.

Outlook. Scan was clean. I used my email one morning, went to work and when I came home to use my email it brought up the username and p/w box. It has never done that in the past. My p/w was already typed in there b/c I had clicked the save p/w box ages ago. So I click to continue and nothing. I even tried to retype the p/w several time and it won't accept it. Woo Hoo - you have set the tone for the weekend

Unless something major happens, this should be a pretty good weekend for us. We are heading to the costume store tonight to look for some items we need for the kid's costumes (plus some stuff for the house since DD is throwing a Halloween party for her friends).
Tomorrow is DLR to check out Halloweentime and ride HMH (we always love the first time on Haunted Mansion after the change so we can see what they decided to make for the gingerbread house....it changes every year).
Then Sunday is basic errands, laundry, etc and putting up some decorations around the house.

Busy...but not stressful

While I fully understand being an avid fan and supporter of your favorite team in any sport, I don't appreciate it when people bash other teams and their fans, even teams I don't like. PS: I like the Yankees, they're just not my absolute favorite baseball team.

It's the Community Boards in particular. I won't even venture out over there. I'm subscribed here and to a few other [invited] threads. Sadly, it does tend to be DIS-wide. I've been absolutely TRASHED on other threads, simply because my opinion (which was, apparently, wrong!) differed from someone else's.

Don't take it too personally, although I do realize it's a PITA to deal with.

The bashers and trashers are why I didn't post much on the DIS until I found y'all! Even the teasing y'all do is friendly and in fun!

There are some places on DISBoards where I still won't post, even if I have very pertinent and timely information. There are some very mean people out there.

I generally just read on the Community Boards and not post (until I found this group and my little safe haven)

I have gotten into it a bit with people on the cruise boards even. I also tend to only post limited information on the Disneyland threads because of the bashing of Annual Passholders there. We are, of course, the reason for the insane crowds, not DL management who has decided to do everything possible to sell a million APs???? Yet we are the people that they are coming to, to ask for advice about things (thank you in one post, trash you in the next) I admit, I get most of my Disneyland info from another board.

BF asked me what we were doing for birthday gifts this year (his is at the end of the month) and I said I wanted to DO something together and we would save the gift-gifts for Christmas. So Sunday we'll go to dinner and then I've requested a visit to the Jack-o-Lantern Spectaular at Roger Williams Zoo (check it out) so long as the weather holds out. Can't wait! We've done this in years past and, honestly, spectacular doesn't come close.
