I should be able to do that. DH and I are thinking of going during that time on a Saturday to do the Party for the Senses without the kids. :cool1:

Would love to meet up if possible! :thumbsup2

I'm going to be there the week before. :(

Was hoping to meet with you too.

Dude, don't worry.

You just need to tempt her to go twice.

MQ can handle it! ::yes::

I am definitely there the weekend of September 28th, because that's my birthday and we always go that weekend. We're staying at Beach Club! I thought you were there the same time?

I'm arriving late on the 29th (Sunday) and yes, staying at the Beach Club Villa.

We're doing a cook out on the following Saturday with a few Dis-sers. Hoping to get the BBQ area near the quiet pool. If you decide to do PotS on that weekend, you'd be welcome to come join us. I think we're up to 5 Dissers for the cook-out; with families...we're up to about 10 people.

I think you better start working on your television degree! You have 2 - 5 years. :thumbsup2

....

Ah, well, history's my gig. Oh well. Actually we're planning to find another camp and/or simply return to TX. Funnily enough, in that same time frame. We are really just waiting for DS16 to finish high school.

.

Have decided to keep our trip at one week for now. I've booked our room with a AAA discount, and it's where I'm comfortable. We'll see what happens as summer approaches and potential July for October discounts are released. :goodvibes

I talked to MJS about saving the big 8 day trip for when it's just the four of us. As I was thinking about that long of a trip with the whole family, much though I love them, I thought...no, one week is enough. :lmao:

That is great news! I hope it all works out for you.

Totally understandable. Vacationing with other people needs a time limit and a week is probably the longest time that should be allowed. But I will try to meet up with both you and PIO (which should be easy since we are staying at the same place!)

Another cold windy day. Will it ever warm up? It was in the 30's again when I got up this morning.

It's quiet in here. My daughter fell asleep on the couch and my husband on a chair. My son has not got up yet and all the animals are napping.

Hi SadieDog! Cold here too. Last Friday was such a tease, in the low 70s and muggy. It was around 30 here when I got up. It's 48 and windy now. Blah.

.

Blah is right and it's supposed to be cold tonight too. So sick of this. Glad you had a beautiful Friday though.

And now that I am being all sensible, airfare has just skyrocketed. And is cheaper the following day. Really? REALLY???? :lmao:

But honestly. I still think 7 is the magic number. I'm going to keep watching it as we've got some time and hope that it goes down again. We're using points but my FIL is paying cash, so I'm trying to be mindful of the cost. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to seeing you then! It'll be neat for you to meet my crazy family. pirate:

Sunday morning dancing! :cool1:

It's wrong! It's just wrong!

Ooo, I love that kind of quiet. :thumbsup2

Yes! I am happy the temps are getting warmer but the back and forth is killing me! Can't it just stay in the 60s even? I'll take 60s, I'm not picky.

Isn't it funny how we're so excited for the 50s when it's been 30s and 40s, and once you get a taste of the 70s, suddenly that's not good enough anymore!!

:rotfl:

Mother Nature needs to get on board here. :lmao:

Hey, speaking of, I am thinking it is too cold still to start planting. Your thoughts?

Yeah, I wouldn't set anything outdoors yet unless you have the ability to cover it against frost. Granted you're further south from here, enough to have generally warmer temps, but I won't plant until at least mid-May. Personally I hate having to cover stuff when there's a threat of frost, so I just opt to wait until it's more or less safe. Plus, you want your soil to warm up for optimum germination. I'd give it another couple weeks at least. :thumbsup2

Thanks, that was what I was thinking, but nice to have it affirmed by someone in the know! I haven't done a vegetable garden before, except for some containers on the deck last year. And last year, we did successfully plant flowers from seed which was so gratifying. The kids helped with it so it was really fun as they got to see them grow.

I am trying to decide whether or not to just plant straight in the ground this year (as we'll be starting rather small to test the waters) or to actually go through the trouble of making a raised bed. The only issue with the raised bed would be how big to make it. I'm thinking if we just did in the ground this year, and really like it, next year we'd know how big to make a raised bed based on what we want to do.

The issue is my knee. Kneeling is really hard for me. I suppose I could always teach the kiddos how to weed, right? :lmao:

They are already so close to the ground so it shouldn't be too hard for them!

Hey nanners!

The countdown to my 5k is on -- just 12 days to go. I ran today and felt my knees for the first time. Not too jazzed about that but I'm hoping it's just a next-day result of some sprints I did yesterday. Tomorrow is a day off so we'll see how I feel on Wednesday. If it's better then I'm going to skip the cross-training bit until after the run.

I'm looking at doing a 5-mile trail run at the end of June. THAT should be interesting! And, hopefully, I may be diving into a half-marathon this fall! I've got a training program all set to start the last week of May. I *can* do this!! I had really wanted to do my first half at WDW but that is just not happening. The one here (in addition to being WAY less expensive!!) is in early October, along one of our lakes mid-state.....Should be beautiful scenery! It'll also be hilly. This is NH, after all.... :scared:

So DH and DS13 head to FL on Thursday to visit my dad and drive home with his truck. I'm looking forward to getting it but sad at the same time. It means my dad has given up driving, and I'm so used to driving that when I visit him; starting my next trip, I have to rent a car and that's just so odd to me! Weather for them looks great, mid- to upper-80s.

Well that's enough of my rambling for one day!! Hope everyone else is doing well! :goodvibes
