About to get back on again!

I swear there's a conspiracy on the Dis these days. I know I subscribed to both your TR and Blue Cherie's TR. I thought it was odd that there were no replies to either the past couple of days. What a dummy I am! I should have known better.

Oh well - I am here now, subscribed once again, and all caught up.

The kitchen looks great! Thank goodness you were able to fix the changes your MIL had instituted.

Our 2nd full day dawned nice and slightly overcast but not to bad. My goal was to get to AK before rope drop then make the mad dash to KS and then Everest.

In my haste to get out the door I grabbed my morning pills, gulped them down with a mouthfull of water and made a dash for the bus stop. I realy should and do know better than to do that, but I was in Disney world and my new moto was no sickness at disney allowed, and as murphy's law would have it....it happened.

As we were on the way to the bus stop I was starting to feel the burn...you could say it was a burning in my bossom. One of my pills has a tendency to get stuck and start to disolve somewhere before my stomach, if I don't drink a full glass of water with it....the result is litteraly heart burn. the first time it happend I was sure I was having a heart attack.

When we got close to everything pop a little voice told me to stop and grab something to eat but I didn't listen because I didn't want to miss the bus. Obviously I have to hit my head repeatedly against a brick wall before I see the light.

When we arrived at the bus stop we spotted Rosie! It was fun to chat with her on the ride over to AK. By the time we got there I was sure I was going to barf or pass out. So we parted ways with Rosie at the gates and I hurried into the first gift shop I could find and handed over enough money for some black market rollaids and came away with a tiny roll containing 5.
I'm sure the cm was wondering what my problem was as I attacked the wrapper like an addict and started chomping.

The other problem was rollaids or tum or any other chalking medicine that has to be chewed makes me gag. I'm sure it's from the time I downed half a bottle of my grandpa's tums when I was 6.
My Grandpa was diabetic and at the time sugar free candy was hard to find. He always had a stash next to his bed that was off limits. One morning I was on my grandparents bed watching sesame street while my grandma showered, in need of a snack I spied the huge bottle of colorfull little round candies...similar to giant smarties....and horked them down.
I didn't need another antacid for 30 years.

Back to me and the rolaids....my mind automatically replays the old commercial...how do you spell relief? R O L A I D S......the only reason I was able to gag them down was desperation. By the 4th one, I was feeling a little better.

We headed to discovery island for rope drop but soon found we were following the crowd right into Africa and then KS...no ropes or characters in a jeep to be found. It wasn't even 9 yet. At 9 and 1 nano second they started to load the cars. I certainly didn't mind not having to be herded like cattle but it was odd.

We enjoyed our forage through Africa and for the first time, I put the camera away and just enjoyed the animals. It was so nice! And I didn't really miss anything because all I can ever get are pictures of animal butts.

The plan had been to ride EE next but I was still burning a little and D.Jay was feeling queasy....sympathy pains, I think...

We opted to walk around and just enjoy the atmosphere.
I spotted a new character for us...

I just can't say enough how much I love Animal Kingdom. When I'm there I feel a thousand miles away from florida. I didn't get as many pictures this trip since I was determinded to just enjoy and relax.
