Geez, if I was that poor dog, I'd have gnawed at my own jugular just to escape living with Abby. The only kid she seems to give a rat's rear end about is Maddie, who lives in a constant state of constipation based on her facial expressions.

I don't get Abby's talk about Maddys face. She always just looks concerned or like shes going to cry when she performs. Her dancing is always superb but that face? No thanks. Try a smile or anything else and I'd be sold.

Watched last night because I knew someone from our studio was supposed to be on the show. The show is incredibly staged, very apparent to anybody who's at all familiar with dance competitions.

One of the most common elements across all dance competitions is asking dancers when they come up to receive their award or trophy, who choreographed your routine. I asked a friend of mine if that has happened once on the show. Dance is run by egomaniacs and especially with "first place" winners, guaranteed that question will be asked. They've never shown it on this show because producers want the audience to believe Abby is the choreographer. In the world of dance, if Abby were the choreographer it would be shoved down the audience's throat. Dance Moms only shows you girls screaming, "The Abby Lee Dance Company" for a reason.

I think they are supposed to be emotional dance moves that is why she looks the way she does

You want to know hat I don't get? In the group numbers, Maddie is very expressive. Then, you get here into a solo and she has the two faces: 1) I need to poo. 2) YAY! I just pooed!

Did anyone notice when they announced I think it was first runner up against Maddie it was "lucas", I think it may have been Lucas from dance mom's miami, I couldn't see the face well. But they were competing in Florida. Anyone know if Miami is coming back?

I REALLY hate that Abby takes issues that she has with the mother's, out on the kids. Chloe doesn't deserve to be treated that way, yes her mom was being a you know what, but still, take that out with her, not Chloe.

Another thing I noticed is, holy make up batman!!! I understand for competition a full face of make up is needed for the stage, but they come to practice with the fake eyelashes on now and its getting to be too much, they are like 7-14, they don't need all that make up. I always thought Brooke was a pretty girl, but lately they have been piling that make up on her and its not becoming, she doesn't need it. I thought she did a really good performance last night, unfortunatley Abby's only focus was on how great Maddie was.

And IDK what Chloe's mom wanted Kelly to do, if I was Kelly I may have gotten the impression that she wanted to be left along (sometimes some people don't want to talk and just need time to figure it all out in their head themselves). I think she is totally over reacting and should have just returned Kellys call and texts.

What I can't stand and would NEVER put up with is the extra unncessary comments by Abby such as "if Kristi only paid her bills on time....." "She shouldn't talk about MY mother she didn't even HAVE a mother" "Melissa you should have focused on your kids, not finding another husband" and that is just a few comments from the last 2 episodes.

I don't understand all the negative comments about Maddie's facial expressions. The majority of her solo performances are lyrical routines about serious subjects. If she was smiling the whole meaning of the dance would not be portrayed and the judges would lower her scores. In my opinion, Maddie is the best dancer and performer. She just HAS it. Chloe is also a great dancer, but she often lacks the facial expressions that are necessary to beat the competition.

As far as the mothers go, I don't like any of them. Kristi, Kelly, Jill and Cathy are jokes and should be ashamed of themselves for acting so foolish on national tv. I know the almighty dollar may be behind it all, but all they are doing is embarrassing themselves and their families. And Holly - she has a doctorate and quit her job to be a full time dance mom. Sorry Holly, but Nia can't compare with Maddie, Chloe, Brooke, Kendall and Paige. I'm not saying she isn't talented, but she's nowhere near the others.

Maddie only has 2 faces when she dances - big grin and anguish. But that is normal at her age. Some dancers her age have barely mastered the smile on stage. She holds her facials even as she turns, which is rare for someone her age. As she matures her facial repertoire will mature also and we will see her portray fear, surprise, elation, etc.

Dance Moms Miami has been cancelled. It peaked its first episode and viewership fell off from there. By episide 8, viewership had fallen off by half.

I forgot about Asia. Her mother is another drama queen. But she is a great performer, if not a great dancer. But she is young and will surely improve as she gets older. I watched that show, but I didn't enjoy it or care if I missed it. Just something to watch.

My concern with Asia is that she has gotten so much attention for her performance skills that her poor dance form is ignored. When she got for corrections on the show, she ignored them.

I agree. I think Maddie is amazing. And given the fact that she is clearly favored by Abby and wins all the time, she is surprisingly humble and sweet to her fellow dancers. All the girls seems sweet and supportive to each other depsite the horrible example their mothers and instructor set for them. I hate to see the day when that changes.

Yea, her mom made Christie look like an angel with her antics.

Asia will be one of those kids that thinks her poo don't stink, if someone doesn't reign in the praise. She was shown to be pretty bad now at 6/7 years old. She's a great performer, but her techinque was horrid. She knows how to work her face, atleast in a jazz, funk, or hip hop routine. Give her a lyrical or modern dance and I don't think she could pull the expressions off.

I really dislike that they are pulling in dancers from AUDC into Dance Moms. First Hadley and Yvette at the one competition. And now Zack twice with Candy Apples. And I liked Zack on AUDC. I thought his mom was one of the more normal moms on the show.
