Dance Moms

I am reaching my limit with this show Dance Moms. I have seen every episode since Season 1. Yes, its all fun and games but these girls are still little and I hate seeing them cry. Those tears are not staged at all. They can't possibly understand the dynamics of what their rotten mothers and Abby put them through. I hope they end this show for good.

I hate it that Brooke would rather be doing laundry than dancing. Sheesh, let her do what she likes instead of forcing her. She's losing her happiness in childhood.

Chloe - technically good but still too young to understand emotion in a dance. Let her develop over time. Stop forcing her.

Nia - Wasting her talent by dancing. She is like a little intellectual powerhouse that should be doing other things.

I would love to know how much money these moms and the girls make. To make such a fool of yourself on national tv and subject your children to Abby's cruel remarks is outrageous. And the outfits these moms wear! Unless they are arriving from their jobs, all the moms at the dance schools I've been to are dressed in jeans, sweats, or capris. I've never seen anyone with sequins. Obviously they are all financially very comfortable to be able to do all the traveling to the different competitions, so perhaps the show allows them a clothing allowance. And I know they are on tv, but they certainly wear a ton of makeup. Thank goodness that was not the norm when my daughter danced many years ago.

Anyone watching this summer season? I was wondering when this turned into the Cathy and Candy Apples show? Are they trying for a spin-off or something because the Miami one didn't seem to work out.

It's my understanding that they were filming Abby's Ultimate Dance Crew during this part and that is why they are focusing on Cathy. Personally, it gives me a lot more time to get things done because I just DVR the show and fast forward through all of the Cathy junk.

I am watching the new season but I am a few episodes behind. I recently found out (news is about a month or so old) that the guy who choreographed last season's number "Broadway Blondes", the dance with Chloe and Paige is convicted child sex offender. This combined with Asia's highly inappropriate dancing is so dissappointing as a dance fan. Why don't these dance moms wake up!

Anyone else think that Cathy's choreographer's choreograph (I can't remember his name :lmao: ) is terrible and the reason the kids are losing?

Anthony is terrible! He has an attitude problem and makes Abby look like Fraulein Maria from the Sound of Music. However, Nick's bird solo was so masterful and mesmerizing.

I found everything about that dance to be creepy and uncomfortable.

I'm tiring of this show. I used to look forward to it every week and now I tape it and watch it when I have nothing better to do.

This last show was the pitts. Could have been called the Candy Apples show. This nonsense with Abby and LA is getting old too.

I think the whole lot of them are way too big for their britches.

Its the same old same old.
Just to say though at least Abby trained and taught her dancers.
How many more can Kathy pluck from another studio to call her own , and I agree Anthony isn't "all that."

I agree, it's not about anything but ratings anymore.

What was up with that puppet dance and the costume? Did no one think to see if his shorts fit ahead of time?

Why do I keep watching this train wreck? :confused3

I did not enjoy Abby's summer show and the mother's antics. Now they have forced some of them on us again. Cathy's parents are just as bad as Abby's. I can't stand her voice so would never watch a show about her students. And Vivie is a waste of screen time. She is dull and has no talent. Leave the poor child alone so she can do what interests her and not what her mother wants.

I stopped watching after the first episode this season. It is completely unenjoyable anymore. I really used to look forward to watching the girls dance, but now I can't even watch it for that anymore. So disappointed.

I have to agree the summer season just isn't very good. I LIKE Kelli and Christi, I don't like any of the parent at Candy Apples. So its just not entertaining.

I cannot imagine putting my kid in a dance group where the lead teacher's main objective is to "get" someone else. Especially when she started all the "have my back" stuff.

I don't really get Anthony. Some of the dances he choreographs are wonderful. Some are not good at all. The bird dance was a beautiful dance--the costume on that boy looked ridiculous.

I think they didnt have another show to fill the summer time slot, and with Abby filming the 2nd season of her competition, they had to focus on the Candy Apples.

Gino, the young boy in Cathy's group is the younger brother of the kid who danced with Brooke in the senior company. There is more to this show than meets the eye. That's why his father is trying to get him in Abby's studio. I'm a few episodes behind so not sure what happened.

I believe all the drama is staged. Who would move across the country to Pittsburgh or Ohio for a dance studio? These people must be paid very well to allow the show to make them look like idiots. Yes, some of the kids are great dancers and might make it to Broadway or Vegas some day. But how often do dancers become famous and have long careers? Their opportunities are limited and short lived. If dancing is their love, they should realize the limits they are putting on themselves. Education should be their priority.

Pittsburgh and canton aren't that far apart. Maybe 90 miles?

As well as many of the "competitions" are staged. I can tell by the numbers that they announce for the dances during awards, which ones are actual cometitions that they are going to and what ones are put together for filming purposes only.

I am aware that Pittsburgh and Ohio are close to each other, but some of the "new" students travel a great distance to "compete" with Abby and Cathy in their competitions. Utter nonsense - what about school. I would not be surprised if all these shows are filmed at the same time during school vacations or on weekends.

So kids have to live and take dance in LA or NY to become great dancers. Have u ever heard of Point Park college?

I'm not saying this stuff isn't staged because a lot of it is. But I know for a fact some of it is filmed in the fall but it was done in the evening. DD dragged me to one of the places she found out Dance Moms was filming.
