Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

I was trying to say, like a PP, that I agree the Kilani's removal from the group dance was known in advance and so the drama staged. If Kilani was in the group dance, the ALDC would've been entered in the Teens not Juniors so there would be no worry about Candy Apples who were always in the Juniors.

Did anyone see that throw back episode this week about Maddie. I felt like they were trying to do damage control, how she kept saying she is a perfectionist. Then she went on to say she wants to be an actress, oy....

I was surprised in the regular episode before the throw back one that Abby hugged Josie and didn't yell at her.

Did you hear Melissa laughing that her ex husband (Maddy/Mackenzie's dad) didn't like all the time they spent dancing (insinuated that's why they divorced) and Melissa saying that Maddy wanted to be a star (pretty much she discounted her husband to obtain Maddy's dream) and that her boyfriend (now husband) was writing the dance checks. I just thought she was so flip the way she said it all. It's as if her ex (then husband) didn't matter, it was all about Maddie and the way she laughed when she said her boyfriend was writing the checks. I have no idea how any of those mothers could stay around and defend Abby knowing what she said about Chloe's eye.

Yes and even Maddie was laughing. I was thinking isn't that her dad she is laughing about? So I wonder if he is in her life at all? Also when she said she no longer makes the constipated face, I was thinking she totally still does.

I could only stomach the first 15 mins of the Maddie/Melissa episode. 2 things I'll give them, Melissa looks great now and Maddie was cute when she was 8 and an unbelievable dancer for that age!

Melissa in that 1st season makes me cringe, and this was before they were famous so probably no acting or fake stories yet.

It made me sad to hear Maddy talk like that in the throwback episode. She seemed so cold and kind of mean. I pray that I can teach my tween to act better than that.

I wouldn't use Maddy as a reason to worry about your own kids. We've watched the show from the beginning and knew she had no choice but to turn out that way. Abby and Melissa have done a real number on that kid.

I've been watching Dance Moms since the beginning. And I've always thought Abby was a huge bully to those kids & that the moms were crazy to allow their girls to been treated that way. Also, I really can't stand Melissa & feel sorry for Mackenzie, that little girl will have some issues with her mom when she's older. They never mention their dad, do they even see him? He did appear once on the show, it didn't go well, but that could've been staged or edited to look bad. I felt sorry for him, like he was being pushed out of his kids life. I like Holly, she's raising Nia to be such a wonderful young lady. But I miss watching Chloe dance, she was my favorite dancer. I don't like Maddie, I think her personality is just as fake as her mother's. I know she's a child & shame on me.

It's amazing to see the difference between coach D and Abby. Coach D is tough on the girls but not in a mean, petty, nasty way. She seems to genuinely care about all of them.

Anyone watch this week? I do have to say, those LA girls are leaps and bounds better than ALDC. I have no idea how they lost the group number. Actually, it was kids judging right? So kids will want the famous ALDC kids to win right? Not exactly fair.

Nia won!! Nia beat Kalani!! However, Abby is still a witch. No solo for Nia...

And the Jill/Kendall episode?? I guess I forgot how Jill has acted over the years or maybe she was over shadowed by all the other screaming moms (Kristie and Kelly) but man, she's annoying! In the beginning when she wouldn't let Kendall talk about why she got into dance?? OMG!! It's a question for your KID, Jill!!

Abby is an ***. That fake hug she gave Nia after the girls danced was just sick.

I wanted Jess and Jill to ask if rule change meant their kids would have a shot at a solo now.

On a positive note. Has anyone had a chance to listen to Nia's new song Slay? That girl is talented and Abby is too stupid or stubborn to see it.
