Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

Gia choreographs quite a bit also. I thought that Kendall's dance could have been a little more competitive.

Jill needs to shut it. It was not the other moms job to throw Kendall a party because her own "manager" couldn't bother to come around the whole week. Jill is jealous and being a brat.

I understand that she was frustrated but to keep picking at Hollie and the others for no reason? I'd have told her off more than Hollie did.

All the dances were blah. Maddie looks blah. Mackenzie looked ridiculous in those pigtails. She's not 4 anymore.

Kira knows it wasn't just going to be as simple as walking back in the studio and coming back for Nationals right? I'm sad about what happens next week. It's so sad how she hurts these young girls that so badly want to just dance.

I have been watching spoiler clips on youtube. Based on the clip about nationals, the season finale should be GOOD.

I had no idea that ALDC attends two nationals one for the show and one for real. While reading the comments oN youtube, I found out that Nia beat Maddie last year at the real nationals.

I wish Lifetime would have shown that competition or at least talked about on the reunion show. I just sick of the Maddie show.

I would LOVE to see Nia beat Maddie on the show. I'm so sick of Maddie. Keep talking about your Sia videos. The only one that did remotely well was Chandelier. The others were just weird and creepy.

People also took issue with her being on Pretty Little Liars. I read a lot of comments stating how stupid the scene was and had nothing to do with the show.

I know the show and Abby is playing up the "the producers kicked me out" angle, but I was wondering something different. I know Abby said she refilled a prescription in Australia but the formulation was different and it made her sick and she lost a lot of weight. It makes me wonder if she got some surgical help losing the weight and this fight with the producers was the way for her to take time off to heal. I just don't believe the pill story.

If it was true, wouldn't she have gotten the right pills when she got home and gained the weight back?

I used to like Maddy just because I enjoyed watching all the girls dance but I'm sitting here re watching last weeks episode and then remembering the one wher Mack best her and wow her attitude just stinks. I hope it gets in check soon

Sooooo...are Kira and Kilani gone for good?

It's been obvious from the beginning she couldn't stay long, she's too old.

If the show survives I think it's going to be very different all the way around. I expect almost an entirely different cast, or as close to eliminating everyone as they can get away with and still have the audience tune in. Wouldn't surprise me to see Kendall, Maddie and Mackenzie and their moms as the only ones remaining -- and then to get more and more nasty edits to attempt to get the audience wanting them gone.

I've heard rumors that Nia would not be back but Nia tweeted that she would be. And I've heard Maddie is not saying she'll be back but I can't see her and her mom leaving Abby, not ever.

If Maddie's mother is offered a contract I think they'll be back. If they're not I expect they've gotten some idea they should be paid much more because she's so "famous" and the producers aren't willing to raise the contract amount.

I love Nia and am actually kind of sad she'll be back. I want a lot more for her all the way around. I'm also surprised because of her age that she'll be back.

This week I truly "saw" how the whole show is scripted. The team was already entered into the Junior comp Abby said so they already knew Kailani wasn't dancing.
Plus, there's no way Abby just let someone, out of the blue, walk in and choreograph the solo.

I was thinking at the end why they were so worried about Candy Apples all week if they weren't even in the same age group. So they were entered in the Juniors the entire time?

They were in the same group. Candy Apples came in third (I think).

There's no way those other girls averaged below 12. It's been reported that for the show the staged competitions are asked to add an "overall" ranking that they wouldn't otherwise have. Then when editing the show can either show category, age group or overall results to fit their story.

How so?

Their ages (at the time of the competition in May) were 10, 12, 12, 12, 13, and 14.

Take the 14 year old out and you have three 12 year olds, then split the difference between the 10 and 13 year old (11 1/2) and you have an average age of just barely under 12.

I think Abby is a mean, spiteful woman. And, even if the whole thing is an act for television, I wonder why anyone in their right mind would want to portray themself this way. I guess the answer is fame and money, but I think it is too great a price to pay.

And as a side note: Jeanette's daughter Ava just turned 13 this spring - we know them :) My kids and Ava went to the same elementary school until we moved out of state. A lot of DS's friends' little sisters are friends with her. Very sweet family...nothing like the show wants people to think. Her dance studio has a very good reputation. We used to own a business a few doors down when she first opened. DH remembers meeting her fir the first time when she came into our store. She was very excited to start her studio...her daughter was only about 18 months then. Time flies!!! Since we don't live there anymore, we are not always in touch with what's going on, so the first time DH saw her on the show, he kept looking and looking like "I SWEAR I know that lady from somewhere!" He totally couldn't place her at first. LOL
Not Abby's team, the other team. They had to be in the teen age division and we saw combined results for the sake of the show.

Oh, duh! Sorry!

I totally read it wrong. I see now that you did say "other"
