A skunk sprayed somewhere near our house. :crazy2:

That ******* wild life. We had so many racoons in our attic that my husband began to call himself "Racula" because he was always after them. :rotfl:

Wow, that stinks. :teeth: I may send my DS 7 to stay with you, he loves the smell of skunk. :confused3 I hate to admit that, but its true. Sure hope it goes away for you and soon.

I'm always afraid my dog is going to get sprayed one night when we let him out to do his thing.

mamaprincess, yes that *%#!!&^ wildlife. :teeth:

Trish you have one weird son. ;)

SillyMe, Here's hoping your dog never gets sprayed. :wizard:

I hope he will out grow it too.

palmtreegirl, I'll take a skunk over the alligators any day. At least the skunk won't eat me. :teeth:

Oh no thats the worst!! Last week when we opened the windows for the first time in MONTHS, not 5 minutes later we smelled a skunk!! It was terrible. We have one of those whole house fans and it was just all over the house within a couple of minutes. I was begging DH to put the air back on LOL! I hate having the windows open, I could go from air to heat no problem, if I want fresh air I will just go outside LOL! :p

I thought we had a skunk spray one day too, turned out to be a rattlesnake under our deck, which let off a similar smell, especially when your cat is jumping on the screen of the porch, squealing at it.

Alligators aren't the only thing to worry about in Florida. :guilty:

Yes after months of having the air on, my dh decided to open the bedroom window before he went to bed. Now the window is closed and our little fan in the bedroom is on. I would go from air to heat also, but dh insist on opening the window some times.

I hope its not a rattle snake, would rather the skunk.

Rattlesnakes really give off an odor? I never heard that.

When threatened, yes. I believe all vipers do.

and the wildlife specialists captured it! :earseek:

It was THE biggest skunk :eek:10+ lbs. (with a double stripe).

We had to have the house sprayed, had odor bags hung everywhere:crazy2:.

We also had to wash ALL the clothes not in drawers or closets ~ dreft & borax worked great on getting the smell out of the clothes.

Our spray was the WORST the company had seen in years. It took over 3 months :scared1: for the smell to disappear!

Hope your smell leaves quicker!
