So what if it's a res for a character meal with no cancellation within 24 hours? I am assuming they would cancel it for you.depends on level of closure. most levels that would get you in but not the last or highest level
as poster below said you will still be charged the no show fee unless manger waives and that is not for sureSo what if it's a res for a character meal with no cancellation within 24 hours? I am assuming they would cancel it for you.
Wow. So many levels of closure! We should be fine I think. Thanks! As long as it's not a phase 4 closure you're fine.

Also as far as I know, you'll still be charged the cancellation fee normally. You can try and have it waived by calling but you'd need to get an exemption.
Ya you should be good. MK only gets to a phase 4 a couple of times per year, and I think AK only once a year if that (article I read this on isn't dated so not sure how current it is).
"Does anybody know", not Disney's Animal KingdomWhat day are you planning for? DAK rarely goes to capacity.
I don't even think MK got to phase 4 last year. I don't know if it has even got past phase 1 in the last few years.
NOT sure anyone would post such a report, given that both the existence and conditions of the no-show fee are provided to guests reserving ADRs. I'm curious why someone might be expected to share standard operating results?Has anyone actually posted a story about a time they were charged a no-show fee due to not being able to enter due to park capacity? Yes - per the rules the computer will probably automatically charge the fee when you don't check in. I have yet to see a story of someone who said they were charged a fee in that situation (which arises so rarely) and Disney either not waiving it or the credit card company not reversing it.

We could start that thread on the Restaurants Forum...It would be the first time someone has NOT reported something... anything... EVERYTHING!
Heck, the post would probably be titled:
"Official" I was Blocked at the DAK Gates But Had to Pay an ADR Fee Thread
Because it is not "standard operating results" until you actually have evidence that it is being enforced that way. It also goes against almost every tenet of customer service which Disney usually cares about. There is a HUGE factual difference between voluntarily not showing up for a reservation and being stopped at the gate when trying to get to your reservation. (And don't give me - you should have been to the park at 8am for your 7pm reservation. You can blame whoever you want - I'm talking about what intelligent people running the system will do - not what they're permitted to do)
