Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

So, Jen I decided to start reading backwards. I will never catch up on your TR but every update I read is like a soap opera. I am glad you Trip is literally just around the corner because you have certainly had your obstacles getting to your departure date.

Your son sounds a lot like mine. My son is a senior is high school and he is also very self-centered and thinks the world revolves around him. He is also disrespectful. We used to have a lot of arguments, but I finally learned that arguing just adds fuel to the fire. Kids like that want you to react. If you can walk away or if you can respond calmly with facts and consequences, things go so much smoother. I feel for you because I'm leaving it and everyday can be a challenge.

Anyway - enough of parenting 101, I am going to try to read more of your PTR but I really look forward to the actual TR!

Hey Jen...... you ready?????????? It's time for...........

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

You know............. this banana countdown thing should get MORE impressive every day.............not less............. but regardless, you get the point!

WOO HOO!

Yes...my life is a soap! :cutie: My son loves attention. I do that walk away thing too...or don't ask questions when I know he wants me to about something stupid...he's just either trying to brag (or lie) about something usually.
In his senior year of highschool, he was basically the "star" of the football team. He was good, had great strength, etc. One of the key players. He jad a girlfriend (for only a few weeks) and she didn't want him palying, so he started faking sick. I KNEW he was faking, but others acted like I wasn't concerned. I think his coaches knew he was faking too. They started calling my house everyday from the school to pick him up (he never got his license till later). He would do this shake thing, like he was so sick (and crazy looking). I took him to the Dr.s and they would tell him nothing was wrong, and one even asked if he was faking it. I stopped answering the phone when the school called. I told them he wasn't sick, and he needed to stay, but they still kept calling. Then they called my mom, and she was furious that they did that (she has a big job and can't be bothered by a faking sick kid either). Fianlly Michael told my mom that he was faking because he no longer wanted to play football. He mentioned it only slightly before, but we told him he should finish his Sr year. So we let him quit. He would've had a scholarship to college if he played. He also had refused to go to technical school because he would miss a half hour of football each day prior to this. :rolleyes1
And the girl dumped him shortly after. It was probably one of the biggest/dumbest mistakes of his life so far. It seems after that point...he has made a lot more really dumb decisions. :rolleyes:

YAHOO!!!! It's impressive to me.
Claire is officially on Spring break now! It's so much closer! WE also got our new updated Crusie documents yesterday!

Wow! I got lost somewhere back around page 113 or so... I finally got caught up and -- BOY, did I miss a few changes!!! Still sounds like you guys are going to have great trip. Can't wait to hear how it went.

I hope these are the final plans now! I don't think I can take much more. It's gong to be fun. Maybe a little more stressful at times, but we'll deal with it!

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I swear, there better not be anymore changes to your trip. I've got to get over to your blog, it's been busy here.

:yay: for finally having all the travel docs in. I'm so excited for ya!

:dance3: I am so ready to leave NOW!!
Today my goal is trying to get the focus right on my camera. I have read tutorials that really make no sense to me, so I don't know if I made proper adjustments or not. And I can't get Claire to help me out. I tried pictures of objects, but that isn't helping me any. And now I'm trying to decide which lenses to bring. My bag I plan on bringing doesn't hold many, but ideally I would like to take 4. I could probably fit 3 if I squeezed them in. I guess I have to decide if the telephoto one is really needed this trip or not. That goes to 300. The next longest one I have goes to 135. That might do though.

Hi Jen! I've been reading your latest PTR over the last few days and wanted to make sure I posted a BON VOYAGE message to you before you headed out! :cool1:

WOW - what drama you've had, to say the least! You deserve to have an awesome time and I absolutely can't wait to hear all about your adventures. We have been looking at the Disney Dream for the last couple of weeks and it seems awesome. My DS (7) has never cruised so it might be time next year...

If I don't get a chance to check in before you leave - have an absolute magical time with Claire :wizard: and your family! ;)

Thanks for reading along. We are getting ready to go to the circus tonight..that help get one day out of the way before we leave! I'll be sure to write all about it when we get back.

The circus is so much fun!! Don't get me wrong, its no Disney... but what a fun way to pass a day and puts your trip 1 day closer. I have to tell you, I am bit jealous! The weather here is still cold and miserable! If I don't get a chance to post again before your trip have a super trip!!!! Enjoy every moment!

It was fun. Claire really enjoyed it. I told her though, we're NOT buying junk there...since we will have a week of buying junk coming up....:rotfl:
My Aunt took her and my neice down to get a light up toy at intermission (and I told my Aunt she didn't need one) and she came back with a stuffed animal too. :rolleyes: My Aunt doesn't listen very well.
It's been in the 30's here, not warm, but at least the sun has been shining.
Thanks for the well wishes!

OMG. This must have been heartbreaking for you to watch. :hug: I can only imagine. Unfortunately, its just one of those things he will have to regret later in life. It's one of life's hard lessons. Your son sounds a lot like mine. ALOT!

I'm glad to hear you had a good time at the circus. I want to do Cirque du Soleil on my next WDW vacation, which won't happen until 2012. After 10 trips I have not done Cirque nor have I ever seen Illuminations, which is another story in itself.

3 days for you! In February I was counting down until my c-section with Belle and the last week seemed to take an eternity.

OH MY! I almost forgot!!!!!!!!!

Here goes.......................

Drum roll please..............

:banana::banana::banana:

I'm so excited for you!

The circus is such a fun way to pass a day! I always make the "no junk" rule too, and then my mom or inlaws give the kids money to buy their own. :rotfl:

Only 3 days, are you all packed and ready yet?

Oh my gosh Jen, only 3 days!!!!! I am so excited for you!!! I have to go back and make sure I haven't missed any huge changes in past few days while I have been MIA! :lmao:

For anyone that cares, here is the link to the blog I have started. I am slowly putting a lot of my Disney pictures up on it.
I've been doing it off and on for a few weeks. It's just time consuming and I get a neck ache sitting here for long.
But if you want to check it out or have suggestions, I would love to hear.

Ooohh, I can't wait to check this out! I just tried here at work but it came up with the access denied screen, so I guess I will have to wait!!

You didn't hear? The BIL got better. So Skip was back in. But Claire got the chicken pox, so now it's all off. But Jen's taking it really well. She said she'd start a new pre-trip report soon.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry Jen.......... how about an early April Fool's Day since you'll be gone on the 1st???????? :lmao:

Here's the deal. You get to go to Disney. I don't. So I get to be small and obnoxious and give you all sorts of grief. You're good with that, right????? :rotfl:
