Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

Friday was our last full day At Disney.

Claire again woke up to a new present and we got some breakfast and dressed. Claire really ahdn't done much touring of Pop, since she is always sleeping when I do, so we walked around a bit.

And then we headed off to MK once again.

We caught some of the move it shake parade and Skip took her off to dance.

The crowds had picked up alot this day. So we kind of wandered around looking for something that wasn't too crowded.

We found Donald.

Then on to Fantasyland

Skip was in alot of pain at this point and went back to the room to rest. Claire and I continued to have fun.

And then Skip came back and we went to sign in at Crystal Palace for dinner.

My head looks like Skips on SE too.... all cut off?!?!?!?

I've chopped the hair before, but it's been awhile. I always go back to growing in back though because I am a ponytail girl. But I can still get a small one in.
Those socks of Skips are ones he wears in the barn...plus he pulls them all the way up when wearing shorts. I had brought all short socks for him for the trip, but since i did laundry and those were the ones he wore on our arrival day they got thrown back in the mix...by mistake!

Yeah, what is it with Spaceship earth and cutting off heads.

Dinner was fun!

And then the goal was to find Jasmine, and a few other characters

Skip decided to head back to the room again. So Claire and I explored a little bit more.

It was so crowed that we decided to head back ourselves after a bit too.

Claire swam a bit then we decided to head off to DTD to do some last minute shopping and to pick up some Earl of Sandwich for our plane ride the next day.

We made it back and got settled in for our last night of sleep. We had to be up really early to go to the airport.

We get up super early. For some reason I had a hard time getting up on this day...Wonder why? Skip, on the other hand sprang out of bed and was ready in minutes! Why does he have so much energy when we are going home?
Claire woke up crying, ...begging and pleading with Daddy to let us stay longer.

Skip goes to get the car..pretty much empty handed and leaves Claire and I to drag everything to the curb where he parked. I was a little miffed at him about that. He always has had bad man manner. I don't think his mom taught him these kind of things. His borthers are terrible too.

Claire pretty much cried the whole hour trip back to Sandford Airport. I don't blame her though. I felt like crying too.

It was much to early in the morning

We got through security fine, though Claire always panics when you have to take your shoes off, like she may never get them back. And soon boarded our plane and it was a nice peaceful ride home this time.

My Dad was waiting for us at the airport and we drove the short drive home. Skip, of course, ran in the house and was dressed for work in seconds and out the door again. MEN!

This trip worked out great. No throwing up at all!!!
I think letting Claire sleep in each day and going back when she wanted to swim really helped. I would like to be a rope drop person, but until she gets older, this is the style of touring we will have to do.

I wanted to update and say I did win the dress off ebay. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but still not bad.
Someone else wanted it badly too because they kept upping it.
I ended up getting it for 18.50 including the shipping. The dress on the landsend site was 12.99 plus shipping, so it was about the same, and the ebay one comes with a set of legging as well. Now I can't wait to get it.

My younger DD is 6 ( 7 in Nov) and was 4 when we took our 1st trip to WDW. We did get her the castle.....after a week of hemming and hawing it over! ( had to let DH think it was his idea
The plan was save it for x-mas, but DH couldn't wait and it "came" from the Easter Bunny. I hope your hubby can get his pain under control and hopfully all medical issues solved so you can go in Dec.

I'm excited. I ended up ordering a shirt from Lands end for me and found one for DH. Hopefully it fits him. They only had xxl, but sometimes xl is too short. So I'm hoping this is just right.

Thanks for joining. The castle was a huge hit fir her. She had wanted it badly on the trip. Even looked at it the trip before. They had 25% off toys that trip, so I just had to do it. Plus with the package we got, we got a $200 gift card included, so it was free!, basically.

I got some Disney Mail today! It was a little booklet that talked about our upcoming vacation to AK. I never got something like this before, so maybe it's only with deluxes or room only reservations? But in the back it said to call for 20% pff the resort photosession. So if we do that , I'll get 20% off! YAY!

MY one true obsession to buy at Disney now each year is a sweatshirt.
I have bought at least one each year. I like the hoodies.

Here are some I have bought over the years.

I also bought a regular 2007 blue sweatshirt in 2007, but for some reason I got xxl and it is huge. I was heavier then, but it was huge even then, and now it hangs to my knees. Sometimes Skip will wear it, but it's even really big on him. I don't know why I bought it so big, but maybe it was the only size available when I got it that would fit, and we were cold. LOL!

I also found this one and I really wanted it so I ended up getting it too.

I really wanted to go back to Disney this past March, but Skip gave a firm no. I even tried a cheaper route and asked to go to Universal, which I found a really good deal on if we stayed at a fairfield. He still said no.
So when my parents went to their FL time share this past Feb. I asked them to pick me up a 2010 sweatshirt since they were spending a couple of days at Disney. I told my mom 1st, and I know her, she will if she thinks about it, but it won't be priority. So I also told my dad to remind mom. I knew this would work. It would be his mission to get this sweatshirt...and I was right! My mom said he was like crazy about finding it. He kept saying don't forget we need to get that sweatshirt and things like that. Good job dad!

And I will post that one later,..... as I have to upload the pictures and we are on our way out the door right now!

Today we went to the movies and on the way home Skip had me run in the sotre ofr beer and cigerettes since a few guys are coming over after they milk tonight. He said Claire could have the change, which was $2, and she said thats my money for Disney, and Skip said a big YEP! I hope we are brain washing him!!

My mom also got this backpack for Claire and I think it will make a trip or two with us in the future.

It was one of those deals where if you spend so much, you get it for $10. I have a tote style bag I bought in 2007 that I use for each trip as well. It gets alot of use. Actually I originally bought it for Paige, because she used to be a tote bag queen. But now she doesn't use them so much, and she actually only used it a few times, then it went in her closet....so now it is MINE!!!

I really hope Skip's back is feeling better so a trip will be possible....do you think that will be the deciding factor for him, or is it more money and the farm that is the issue? Will he know that you planned everything already without his ok or will you act like you just planned it all when he gave the go ahead?

My DH has already said this will be the last big trip any where for a long time as our 110yo home needs a new roof, which I understand...a need for a roof out weights a want for a Disney trip...............BUT money is not the only issue. He flat out does not want to go back. We have gone every other year since 06 and he said it has gotten 'old' WHAT?!?!?! I know, I should have screened him better on our 1st date. My hope is, when we have another baby I can convince him we have to bring the baby there (it will be only fair as the boys have been)...and maybe do Universal since the boys will be older. Also he has yet to ride Star Tours....and can you guess what will be closed for refurb while we are there??? LOL! So we HAVE to go back!!!! I would love to try for a Star Wars Weekend....all 3 of my boys (the 2 little ones and the big one) LOVE Star Wars.....so another way to get him to go back!

So I need to see how others will handle planning and booking without the initial ok from their spouse......so I can do the same thing!!!

Everything is a deciding factor for him. Money is always an issue for him when it's something I want to do, but if he decides to do something,, money doesn't matter. The farm is always an issue for him. But he uses it as an excuse too. And then the pain and mobilty issues are probably top right now.
He told me this morning that the Dr told him if his hip is infected he will do surgey on it. I didn't know that before. I thought they would then give an antibiotic first to clear it and see if that is the issue.

Skip kind of knows that I am always in the planning stage. But he never knows the extent of it. When it comes to the trip actually getting an OK, i make all the plans. He has nothing to do with it, nor asks about it...usually. Last trip he asked to go back to Hoop Dee Doo. I told him I had everything booked already, but could see if I could rearranges stuff, which I did. He has no desire to plan, or help plan. And if he does, I can always change up things.
I'm not being sneaky, I'm planning ahead. Everything can be cancelled at this point and time that I have reserved. no airfare booked...though I wish we could've, cause a week ago I could've booked all 3 of us for about $400 round trip!
I know other husbands like to be in on the planning, but honestly, Skip never asks what we are doing til lwe get there. I sometimes will tell him stuff prior, but alot of times it goes in one ear and out the other.
