Did a search, but couldn't find anything....is there a daily newspaper delivered each morning to the BWV- DVC rooms?

Thanks!

I don't think they do newspaper delivery to the room at any of the WDW resorts (unless perhaps you ask for it in a concierge room). At OKW there are papers at the general store, but no delivery to the room. We have stayed at a number of other deluxe and moderates that didn't have delivery. But, we have never stayed at BWV, so there is a chance that it is the exception.

No BWV newspaper delivery. They sell the papers, however, in the gift shop directly off the main lobby. :)

We've stayed at BWV 3 times and they delivered the paper without asking for it. I stayed at OKW last year and never got one. Don't know if I'm lucky or what?

We stayed at OKW last year and got a USA Today delivered at the door each day. We weren't members at the time, don't know if this had anything to do with it.

I heard somewhere that this is just another one of those "discontinued" perks.

When we were there this past January, I would go down to the giftshop each morning to buy a USA Today. One day, I got there way too early and asked the Bellman if there was anyplace else I could get a paper. He asked which paper and then handed me one from a stack behind the desk.

I believe that cash guests who book through CRO do get a newspaper delivered each morning. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that DVC members used to get a paper and that it was paid for by the Developer. When this was discontinued, there apparently was a survey of DVC members to see if they wanted to have this service included in the dues. (The majority of members voted no). If I am "mis-remembering", I am sure someone will correct me. :D

We stayed at BWV last July and asked if there was newspaper delivery and there was not. But I agree with the other post, I think if you are a cash CRO person you have one delivered. OKW has never had newspaper delivery that I know of. ;)

DVC members staying at BWV had newspaper delivery until it was discontinued at the beginning of 2000.

On our stays at the deluxe resorts we always got a morning paper. Not so at the moderates. Never tried a value resort. Have not used my DVC membership yet. So, this means we rate below deluxe?

No frogs were riveted during the construction of this post.

I would not use daily newspaper delivery as a measure of the quality of DVC versus the deluxe resorts. Rather, think of this as another economic tradeoff for DVC members. Daily newspaper delivery would add some amount to the budget, likely in the tens of thousands of dollars for BWV or OKW, to be spread over the members in annual dues. With the current setup, individuals who want a newspaper can purchase one at the gift shop/general store/etc. Members who have no interest in a daily paper can skip this expense. Most of the time when I travel, I like to read one of the local newspapers in whatever city I happen to be visiting (rather than USA Today which I think of as "Newspaper Lite"), so I usually do pick up a paper (the Orlando Sentinel when at WDW).
