Anybody else wondering, like me, what the catch is ?

From what I can see, the catch is that they select the destination. Therefore, it is quite possible you may end up with a destination you do not want.

Alternatively, they may be counting on the additional revenue from people buying extra tickets for family.

I've read it and reread it, and it's not at all clear, but I think you are right - you send it 9 destinations and get a ticket back for any one of them, os you could get Amsterdam, or Sydney there is no way of knowing.

If Barbados is a destination that you would like to visit make sure that you cut out the Barbados Destination voucher and keep it. You will then need to collect 8 more out of the 12 further destinations that will be published over the next 2 weeks and you are guaranteed to win one of them.

but the more I read it, the more it sounds like a lottery - you could end up going anywhere.

I been reading this pretty carefully and I think the biggest catch is that few people are going to want to travel on their own. So you will be forced to try to buy tickets for the exact flight that you have been given. Now they do say that extra tickets will be available to purchase at 'vasted reduced rates' (or something like that). But my bet is that the flights given away will be off peak, off season flights that normally have space available anyhow. They will then rely on people having to purchase additional tickets (on the same off peak, off season flight). So its win win for the airlines who will sell seats that normally will be empty.
