Just returned from WDW w/ DS8, who loves to receive Tinkerbell gifts every morning. Here are some of the things he loved:
Key chain w/his favorite character. He puts them on his school book bag, which is the popular thing to do around here.
Those little washcloths that TDS sells ... the ones that are compressed really small and open up in the water. Of course, I find a character he likes. These often go on sale at TDS.
I bought a cool Star Wars t-shirt at Wal-Mart before we left ... I think it was about $6. I left it under his pillow and he was thrilled. TDS has some t-shirts on clearance, so maybe you could find something.
A new toothbrush. This time, it was a Star Wars one.
Star Wars figurine (General Grevious) that he was dying for.
Darth Vader lip balm. Hey, what can I say -- Star Wars and Stitch rule in our house.
Those small, squishy fabric water balls. Got them at the dollar store, 2 for $1. He loved playing w/these in the pool.
Since Star Wars is so hot, it's easy to find lots of small Star Wars type stuff.
Disney Dollars. These were a hit!
A coupon for a Mickey Ice Cream Bar or treat of his choice. I printed a few up on the computer and would leave them under the pillow w/a note saying that Tink left money for one in Mom's purse.
Quarters for the game room. I'd made up a computer label reading "Have fun in the Game Room!" and stuck it on the roll.
Right now, our TDS has quite a bit of mdse. on sale -- I'm sure you could find something fun for your DS! Good luck and have a great trip!
At the $10 and under store in DTD, they have these great "mystery" grab bags for $6.95. I am telling you ... the mdse. in ours was so worth it -- a cute gorilla beanie (originally $10) from AK, an invisible ink pen set, a Figment wind-up toy, Mickey Mouse playing cards and lots of other things. I swear, the stuff in the bag totalled over $20 in original pricing! Anyway, you could always pick up a grab bag and maybe you'll find some cool stuff in it to use!
BTW -- you can also pick things up in the parks. I often snuck things that DS had admired and used them as Tinkerbell gifts. I just would tell him that "Tinkerbell must have heard you wishing for it!" I'm sure he's like "yeah, right" but I don't care!
