I really want to take him to a lovely TS restaurant somewhere on property. We've only ever eaten at Morroco (Epcot) before. He often mentions Jiko, but usually convinces himself the food would be too unusual!:confused3

I'd also quite like to have it in MK or somewhere where you can view fireworks, but can't remember where the nicest TS places are.

Thanks for your help :grouphug:

California Grill would be a great place. It's at the top of the Contemporary Resort and has a great view of the fireworks.

I've got my own 50th coming up in 2 years and I'm starting to think about a WDW trip for it. I've never been there on my Birthday because it's during the beginning of Spring Break but for the 50th it's worth paying extra and dealing with the crowds. :thumbsup2

surprise him with jiko! If it is something he has talked about, give it a shot. What a great place to celebrate a milestone birthday.

California Grill for a view of the fireworks or Rose & Crown at EPCOT for a view of IllumiNations.

Also, Coral Reef. If you call ahead of time, they will give you a table by the tank and have a diver come down right by your table with a banner "Happy 50th Birthday Dad"

Or Princess Storybook at Norway and have the princess all over him.:rotfl:

I'm not sure how mum'd feel about that- i think dad would love it!!! :cloud9:

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I love the idea of the California Grill, it has potential to be very magical without being embarressing for him. Perhaps i'll try and ask his advice and pretend someone on here has asked between Coral Reef, California Grill, Jiko and Teppanyaki (another one i've heard a lot about). He's a bit of a disney expert so i want to get it right!!!

I'll be celebrating my 50th at WDW this coming Nov. Thinking of either princess brkfst at Norway or now Im thinking of Coral Reef too! Thanks for the idea. I'm having lunch there in April so I can check it out.

May well see you there! It's dad's bday on the 25th April, but our vacation starts on the 23rd. I wish we had a bit more time there before his bday so i could organise more exciting things :wizard:

I'm having my belated 50th birthday at WDW in April( my birthday is in March). We're eating at the California Grill for the first time. I can't wait!
