Dad kills daughter ?!?!?

There is way too much in this that isn't making sense.

My first question is how big are these houses? In my house if anyone is upstairs you can hear everything downstairs...sounds even travel through the heating ductwork so I can hear them talking if I'm in the basement.

To take the son with them wouldn't one of them had to go upstairs to get him out of bed? Who did that?

Why would the Mom say ok to taking the son, but not the daughter...at that time I'd be saying leave him home with the sitter too. Emergency rooms are known to be very long drawn out processes.

A lot just doesn't make sense or add up.

I haven't read all the posts, just some of them. Is it possible the mother killed her? I hate to even think that, but it doesn't make sense.

That was my thinking too...maybe the husband got hurt trying to protect the daughter? Take the son to the hospital with them to protect him..but why would the Dad take the fall for the Mom?

Thats one thing - these are big fancy, schmancy houses. I believe if Dad was upstairs doing this to her, Mom may not hear, UNLESS (and this is where Im a little confused) the daughter was silent??? I would imagine you'd hear screaming?

And I still dont get take one kid to the hospital - leave the other there? When he supposively, form the Mom;s understanding - put the kids to bed.

Big house I could see not hearing anything, especially if she wasn't close to the stairs or directly under the room. Now at least that part makes a little bit more sense.

I'm sure the police are asking all the same questions as we are. I picked up on the whole taking the son but not the daughter to the er too. And why did he go to the neighbors the first time when they told him to go home?? I'm completely confused and saddened.

I believe I read an article that said the boy couldnt sleep and came downstairs. This was AFTER the husband came back from the neighbors house acting wierd. Its possible that because the son was up, the mom decided for him to go to the ER too and she assumed the daughter was sleeping so she had the neighbor stay?
I think this is a case of the father having a complete psychotic breakdown.The article stated that night, while playing a game of cards with his daughter, he realized she was the devil and had to die. Too bad he didnt think he was the devil and do himself in instead.

So sad... We had a case here in Charlotte a couple of months ago where a father stabbed his 6 year old twins to death. They were a wealthy family, all family members and friends said there were signs of problems. The father had been treated for depression and apparently 'snapped'.

I just don't understand how anyone can kill their own child.
