It happen near us also. I am shocked and horrified also. I guess they used to own the mad potter in Downers Grove (to which we have gone)

Our Chinese food place is on that block..it very strange when things hit the close to home.

I heard about this on the radio and then on the local news at night too. Such a sad thing, she seemed like such a sweet child. My DH had to turn off the coverage because it made him feel so ill, especially since her name is the same as our DD's.

HORRIBLE. The only question I have is that I find it hard to believe that someone who can do something that horrific was acting normal until doing something like that. Just like Andrea Yates, I'm sure she was showing sings of unravaling.

According to the article everybody seemed stunned - so who knows, but I would think someone who could do that would be showing some sort of mental illness before it came to that. In any event, pray for that poor baby and her family.

It's probably good to let him not have any bail.

He had to have snapped.

Although I agree that it would seem that someone would have noticed him "losing" it. It would be very odd for osmeone to "snap" without any warning signs.
