I think Liesa will be fine, she said that she would not be able to post much while she was on her holiday. In her last post she mentioned that they would go to a resort in the mountains and that the conference in Kyrgystan was planned for June 16 to 22. So I assume she did not have internet in the mountains and not on the road trip to Kyrgystan either. It really seems that the troubles are concentrated in the south-west, while the lake where they are supposed to be is in the north-east. And Kyrgystan isn't a really small country, it is about the size of Nebraska. The German government has issued a travel warning and has evacuated Europeans from Kyrgystan, but only from the south. The north has just a serious advisory, only to travel if important, while the south has a warning.

Still, it won't hurt to pray for her and her family's safety - as well as for those poor Kyrgyzian and Uzebkian families caught up in this ethnic conflict!

First of all....

While she is gone I wanted to get some ideas from you guys for her "goodie bag" -

Here is what I am thinking for both of them:

Mister Fans (I LOVED mine while I was in the parks and it will be warm in Sept)
Gum (don't sell in the parks)
Bracelets - homemade - "Maroo" style!
and some Tshirts - I will post about those later today or tomorrow.

What other supplies might we need for the battle? What else would be good to include?

Any other ideas? I have a gag gift for Liesa, too - but I am not even going to post it...that will be for the TR.

Something I picked up two years ago which was a godsend, was a little change purse to stick in my bag. Whenever we paid for a drink or a snack, I would have all this change and my pockets (and DH's) would get loaded down. Also, I can't remember from her report, does she have a landyard? If not, I pick up one of those credit card type small plastic containers to put my key card in to keep away from my camera, cell phone, etc. (we've had our key card not work when we've returned because of the cell phone being next to it).

I am totally bringing enough for 2 per day! I always carry ponchos! And I should put a few in their goodie bags! Good idea!

Ah! Yes! But I am not really crafty for the autograph book...?? I am going to have to think on that...I don't want to just put a Disney bought one in there or anything??

This might seems like an odd "gift" but I never go to Disney without having some ziplock bags with me. Great for keeping things dry, or if you buy a snack for later you can use them to keep it fresh.....the uses are endless. Sometimes you can find Disney themed ones at Target in the Dollar section.

What about a small beauty product to pamper yourself after a hard day at the park and to prepare for battle the next day - I am thinking about a nice foot cream (I love those with peppermint, very refreshing!) or perhaps an after sun lotion? There must be stuff to be found in those aisles with travel products

My best suggestion is to go to some dollar stores. I've always been able to find fun little things for goodie bags. I love dollar tree!
