Cypress Pointe (not GV)

Hi

We are due to stay here in a few weeks (our first time staying here). Our question is which buildings have been refurbished and in your opinions which buildings are the best to request?

Buildings 1, 2, and 3 were renovated last winter. The remaining 5 buildings are scheduled for rnovation this fall/winter. See latest info here:

Thank you JOB...can I just ask another question...What are the chances of getting the building that you request?
I have booked through Hotelkingdom if that makes any difference.

We have booked a 3 bedroom unit through hotelkingdom for January and were also wondering if you can request a specific building.

I just e-mailed Cypress Pointe inquiring about requesting building 1, 2 or 3.
I will let you know what they say.

We stayed at CP last May and I just called the front desk to make a request. I did not request a building, just to be on the first floor. They were very accomodating and we loved our first floor room. It was not a renovated building--I think it was 5--but we thought it was just great. Hope you have a wonderful trip. You will love CP.

I thought I would give you the e-mail address for cypress pointe. You may want to try contacting them seeing your trip is coming up pretty quick.
As I mentioned ours isn't until January, so I wasn't too concerned, yet.
I figured it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hi,

I have just received the following email from CP


Your note to the HOA with a request for a renovated room during during your stay from October 23, 2004.

We look forward to your arrival and wish you a great vacation time.

I have noted your request in your reservation. Please be informed that we have complete the renovation of one third of all the rooms/units at this point. We are actually working on the second third of the resort and we had expected to have most of them complete toward the end of October or beginning of November, but the hurricane season here in Florida has interrupted progress due to the damages made to some of our vendors that are now not in position to deliver as programmed.

We will do our best to get you one renovated room, but I just can't promise it.


So fingers crossed we'll get a refurb'd room...will let you know when we get back.

I'm crossing my fingers for you too...and for us! We're hoping to stay there in April and as the renovations were due to be finished in the spring, I thought we'd have no problems securing a renovated room. Now...I'm not so sure! Anyway, thank you for posting this, and please post a trip report when you get back so we all know how you fared!
