Hi everyone! We've been looking at houses/ condos for the week after Christmas, and I've come across a really good deal for the Grande villas resort (formerly known as cypress pointe) but I haven't really come across a lot of info about there about it. Anybody stayed there, have some thoughts about it? Our offsite stays in the past have included hotels, a house in Indian creek, and a townhouse in windsor hills. I was thinking that an advantage to a condo over a house is we wouldn't have to pay pool heating. We are going to be 3 adults and 1 child. I've also been looking at Wyndham bonnet creek, so I'm curious if you have stayed at both, how you might think the 2 compare- there is a HUGE difference in price in the deals that I've found for each. Thank you so much for your help!!

Hi there, I have stayed at both. A year apart Bonnet Creek before Grande Villas. Liked them both. Bonnet Creek is more of an upscale feel, lots of amenities, lots of pools. Grande Villas has been redone since our first of 3 stays there. We have never been back to BC. If the price is right we would have, but the price we get at Grande Villas cant be beat. My girls love it. It isnt a huge resort. Which we like. Mini putt, tennis courts. 2 pools on the grande villas side, and you can use the pool at Cypress pointe as well. Which is the volcano pool. Rooms are great. Every restaurant u could want right outside of the resort. Walgreens out the back entrance. Any questions ask away.

We've stayed at several timeshares in Orlando, and condos and townhouses at Windsor Hills, and our kids' favorite by far is Cypress Pointe. The units were very well kept, updated and the volcano pool was very nice, as was the gameroom.

keep in mind there is still a separate (but nearby with some shared facilities) timeshare called cypress pointe at 8651 Treasure Cay Lane, that is not the same as grande villas at 12118 Turtle Cay Circle.

Thanks so much! That makes me feel a LOT better! It just unnerved me that I couldn't really find all that much out there about it, and then there are tons of threads on other places!!

It is because they have only been seperated from Cypress Pointe for a few years. So all check ins were going through Cypress Pointe. Now Grande Villas has its own check in. We tried Westgate Town Center last year and hated it. My kids just kept saying they wished we did Grande Villas. You will like it.

We stayed at the non-"Grand Villas" Cypress Pointe timeshare (across the street) once several years ago. I agree with the consensus that it is a nice but not super upscale resort. It has enough amenities to go into the "resort" category in my book, by it isn't anywhere as fancy as Bonnet Creek, and the price difference reflects this. That said, I've read mixed things about the high pressure sales staff at Bonnet Creek and awhile back this summer/spring (?) there were several in room thefts reported on Tripadvisor (where no one from manager responded to the reviews). So i can't say I am keen about Bonnet Creek.

We are staying on site at a DVC resort this Xmas for 5 nights and at Cypress Pointe for a few nights afterwards to help ease the pain (in the wallet). I think the location is very convenient and you get a lot of room and great value for the $. I also like the fact that Cypress Pointe is not so huge ( like Vistana or Orange Lake) where we may feel we'd want to drive from one end of the resort to another.

I really like Cypress Pointe Grand Villas and Cypress Pointe. We have stayed in each on two different occasions (four visits in total). It has been a few year, though. The Grand Villa three bedroom unit is HUGE. Two masters, two kitchens, two hydabeds, nice enclosed balcony with round table and lots of chairs for sitting out. The third bedroom, though, is small with just two twins. It was a great place for us to stay with our extended family group, as we could all stay in one unit. And OMG they keep the pools really warm, or at least they did when we stayed there, meaning swimming at Christmas time was no problem. I like the size of the resort too -- big enough, but not too big. // We've never stayed at Bonnet Creek, so can't compare. I think the Cypress Point Grand Villas location is fantastic. You could even walk to a restaurant or two if you wanted. Also, it's really close to the Downtown Disney entrance sign. Oh -- I haven't gotten the book in many years, but unofficial guide used to call it one of the best deals in Orlando and that's doing it retail. We've usually rented a week from a timeshare owner. // I'd have no hesitation staying there again. I prefer a place to this to a pool home community (not that there is any problem with that at all), but the timeshare resorts to me have more of that resort feel which is something I really like.

We have stayed at both and have been happy with each stay. A few years ago these were a disboard darling but you don't see it as much as you use to when people ask about places to stay.

We stayed at Cypress Pointe Resort in a 3 bedroom last year. There's a grocery store just a block away and lots of shops the other way. We enjoyed it. It's one of our time share resorts. I have also seen them offer good deals on Groupon.
