This will be our first trip to Florida and looking for a room is a bit overwhelming. Through Hotelkingdom.com we can get a 2 bedroom for $99.12 a night for 3 nights next July. Does this seem like a good price? I've read reviews on tripadvisor and they seem fairly positive.

There will be 6 of us ( boys will be 8,10,12 and 15) and we will have our own car. We won't be going to WDW so it is not critical to be close to there. The boys want fun pools. I just want a clean relaxing place. Do you think this place is a good fit for us? Any better suggestions?

Like I said, I'm just getting a bit overwhelmed trying to make a decision.

That is a good price. The rooms are nice. We stayed last year in a 3 bedroom which was quite large. The 3rd bedroom however only had a twin bed in it...very tiny.

The pool was ok. There are a lot of other resorts that have much nicer pool areas in my opinion.

I would suggest checking Regal Palms resort. This is about 15-20 minutes from the parks. They have 3 or 4 bedroom townhouses for about $100 a night. Clean but basic rooms. But...the pool area is terrific. It is a pool complex which includes hot tub, slide and lazy river. Since you are not planning to do theme parks (I think that's what you said). It's worth checking out. You can see pictures on their website. I'd recommend going through a private owner since some people have had bad experiences booking directly through the resort.

Also...check out www.vacationclub.com for the Marriott resorts in the area. They are all wonderful with nice pools.

Another nice one is www.orangelake.com. The villas are very nice and pool areas area great. It is, however, massive. Depending on where your villa is you may actually have quite a drive to get to the pool.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these places...including Cypress Point.

Happy planning.

I checked out Regal Palms and I really liked it. How do you go about booking from an owner directly? I've never done anything like this before.
