Does anyone have any experience with booking with them during the summer months? This is my dilema: I can get a week in June from hotelkingdom.com for $685 for a two bedroom villa for 7 days which I think is a good price??
If I wait until closer to june may be able to get something off of ebay for a couple hundred cheaper but maybe not if the availability is not there. So the question is should I wait until closer to try and get a better price or book now thru hotel kingdom.:confused3

They definitely do sell out of the Hotelkingdom rates at times. It happened to me while I was waiting for a Ding fare from Southwest Airlines for early December. I ended up in accomodations I didn't really care for.

If I were you, I'd only wait if you had backup accomodations that you would be happy with. You could reserve now and cancel.

I supposed you could even book CPGV at Hotelkingdom now, and pay the small fee to cancel if something comes up in Ebay. (This is assuming their cancellation policy is the same now as it was when I last checked. ) The only problem is, I think they are now requiring you to pay the whole thing up front.

Even though I don't understand the appeal (the weather is nice all around the country and FL summers are HOT and humid) the absolute busiest stretch of the year occurs from mid-June to early August each year. It apparently is due to the fact that it is the only time each year that 99% of all schools are closed. So waiting on the assumption that a better price will come along is risky. You are liable to find higher prices or no availability at all. I wouldn't risk it.

but you are correct that is a good price for CYpress pointe for summer time.

In thinking it over I may just book with hotel kingdom seems to be the best price. As another poster suggested if I get a much lower price i can always cancel the hotel kingdom for a $20 fee:thumbsup2

On the plus side for Hotel Kingdom is the fact that they're refundable (as you mentioned). Ebay is non-refundable. We had 3 units before Christmas - one for my family, one for my friend's family, and one for her dad.

Well, the Dad decided he didn't want to go after all, and then they decided not to go. Of course, that meant they lost their $300. They told us to use their units, but we had way more room than we needed. ;)
