Cypress Point Grande Villas Site

I don't know.

I ask John a poster on tug who owns at Cypress Pointe to post here.

I think there is a Dis poster who also owns at Cypress Pointe I will try and find her/him.

The recent change in the Cypress Pointe Grande Villas web site has raised some questions. I hope I can clear things up. I serve as the President of the HOA for Cypress Pointe Resort which is also called Phase 1. We are a separate Association from Cypress Pointe Grande Villas which is also known as Phase 2. The two resorts have always had two separate Associations to operate them. Until 2001 the original developer also handled management for both and made very little distinction between the two resorts. In 2001 a new management was put in place for Cypress Pointe Resort and the finances as well as operations of the two resorts where clearly separated to give each Association control over their costs. Later that same year CPGV also changed management companies.

Despite that split some items were and still are shared. The Clubhouse is actually owned by CPR but used by both CPR & CPGV. The Associations share costs for that. All common areas such as pools, recreational areas, the gift shop & stores, game room, exercise room, mini-golf and more are available to anyone staying at either rsort. Those are maintained by the "host" resort but all owners and guests can use anything at either resort. The only thing that isn't shared are the units themselves. If you own, trade or rent a unit at CPR you cannot be switched to CPGV and the same applies if you own, trade into or rent at CPGV you cannot be assigned to CPR. Until recently we shared similar design in our web sites but CPGV decided they wanted their own "look and feel" which they are entitled to do.

So the rumors of a split are untrue. There has been a clarification of responsibility for costs and a bit of pride for each independent resort now more obvious but no guest will be affected by those facts. The day to day operation remains as it always has been and even more cooperation to improve the guest experience is planned for announcement later this year.
Cypress Pointe - both resorts - has a great location and great units. We hope many of the people here will visit our CP resorts when they come to the Orlando area.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify as I was curious also.
