Cvs weekly 6/6-6/12

DH went with me tonight because we stopped in on the way home from dinner. He normally avoids CVSing with me like the plague. He is embarrassed. He hid in the aisles when I checked out. He asked me how much I spent on this stuff. I said ".87". He said, "Good Job." I said, "Not really. I lost $4 ECB in this transaction." He said, "Let me get this straight. You paid .87 for this stuff. You spent $12 in 'virtual dollars' and are mad because you only got $8 in 'virtual dollars' back." I said, "Basically. But I did get the $5 off $15 and hope to recoup some of my "loss" with that.

LOL, I get the same way. I don't consider it a good trip unless I come home with more ECB than I spend. Too me the ECB's are money, so I am super frugal with them.

Stacey- I had the same thing happen to me at both Rite Aid yesterday. I think the machines are just being kooky with the new UP rewards. Both stores a manager was checking me out and said there is no reason it shouldn't work.

Can you use two of the same coupon for two products in one transaction?

Ex: I have two 1.00 off Coppertone coupons, and the deal is get 10 ECB when you buy 2 coppertone products...can i do this in the same transaction?

Not sure if I figured it out right but if you used all the coupons you would have to pay for 5 packs of gum and get 25 free...

30 - 10 = 20 packs with the B2G1
use the 10 BOGO and thats leaves 10 packs
Then use the B2G1 and that leave 5 packs you will have to pay for

Stopped by CVS without any ebb or qs today (the horror). Had to puck up hairnets for DD for her dance recital. Anyway, my receipt printed out a save $5 on $15 fir sunscreen and an extra $2 ecb to be used until 6/13!!!

Not sure if it was just for me but wanted to report.

Oooh, I'm coming up with 36 packs and you'd have to pay for 9 packs after the Stride coupons but only 5 after the $5 coupon.

3 pk x5 B2G1 = 15
2 pk x 10 B1G1=20
Less 5 x 1.29 with the B2G1 qs
Less 10 x1.29 with the B1G1 qs
Less 12 x 1.29 B2G1 Sale
Less $5/$15 is an OOP of $6.61

The best part No Tax cause Gum is a Food How do I know this cause I bought 9 packs the other day

ETA - I rounded up on the number of packs you'd need to buy cause you need to buy in increments of 3 to take advantage of the sale.

Slightly OT, but just heard from my cousin who is a CVS shift supervisor at one of my favorite CVS that Kate Gosselin was in her store today with the kids. No cameras or guards, just her and the kids. She said she was really nice and even used her extra care card I am amazed that I haven't bumped into her yet, she is always in the shopping complex I work in and comes to my store from time to time (bed bath and beyond). Anyway, just thought I would share.....

Wow that is super cool! I watched J&K when they first started years ago! Glad to hear that her life "appeared" normal at that second without any cameras!
