Cvs weekly 5/8-5/15

hmmm although I'm lucky enough not to have a husband.... ha ha I think i see what your hinting at... and I like how you think. lol. goodtimes thank you!

Just a heads up if you do get a second card you cannot use the extra care bucks from the first card and vice versa.

So put a little sticker or a number or something on the second card so you know what goes with what.

I paper clip my ECB's to my CVS card plus any CVS red scanner coupons I've accumulated. That way I never get DH's card/ECBs/CVS Q's mixed up with mine. Nice and tidy for my less than nice and tidy mind! ;)

I just took out a second card myself because I wanted to do doubles on the suncare. :thumbsup2

A couple more tips on second cards -

- use a different phone number when filling out the card as if you forget your card they will pull the first card associated with your phone number.

- As I learned the hard way - Online accounts and tracking of your ECB are tied to your e-mail address so set up an account (i.e., xyzcvs at gmail.com) for getting CVS coupons tied to your second card.

- Legally they can't tie age to the card so you can take it out in your child's (or cat's :rolleyes1) name if you don't want two in your name.

- On my card my name prints on my receipt and coupons so it makes it easier to keep them separate. (I've had my card since they first started handing them out).

I use a small plastic organizer envelope that I got at Target's Dollar spot. I keep my card, ECB's and CRT's in one pocket. DH's in another. My Rite Aid cards in 2 others. Then I have a pocket where I put all the current weeks coupons i might need adn the back pocket I keep rainchecks, calculator and small scissors.

I just went to CVS to do my other card for the diaper deal and the Kotex. There was a woman there waiting to scan something to see the price while my coupons were coming out of the scanner.

She says, "what is that machine doing???"

When I told her it printed coupons she couldn't believe it. I told her to scan her card. She then says she doesn't even have a card!

I was with my mom too, and this is where my mom rolls her eyes and says, "don't you get all the free toothpaste?"

Always a good time at CVS!:teacher:

Oh, and for my 2 cards, one is in my maiden name, the other married name. Plus, one of them now has googley eyes on it so it is easy to keep them seperate.:rolleyes1

I was at Dominicks yesterday (grocery store) and the lady in front of me had shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, kotex, and body wash and she paid $33!!!!! :scared1: I wanted to tell her to return it all and go to CVS!!

I felt guilty buying the Bayer Meter as a money maker since I'm not a diabetic. But then when I got home, I realized it was expired(1/10) so I was glad someone who needed it didn't buy an expired product!

So Natures Bounty BOGO with the $5 coupons ....
Where do you find a bottle of anything for $4.99?
The cheapest in my Cvs is Vit D for $5.99, and most everything else is $9- 15 !?:confused3

I saw that online there are some Nature's Bounty for $4.99 so it may depend where you live.

There were a few 4.99 items at my store. It must vary by region. I bought Vitamin D. Chromium Pic-something was 4.99 and I think Zinc was, too.

Just be careful with the Nature's Bounty deal. Several of my stores won't accept the coupons and apparently have backing from corporate. I am not sure of the reasoning, but I heard a customer arguing with them yesterday about it and then my cousin (who is a shift supervisor) texted me to not do the deal because it was a huge hot button at her store. Again, I don't know why....but since I don't use the vitamins and I don't want to ruffle any feathers at my CVS stores I am just going to pass. I'll let you all know if I can find out more.

Interesting... I've been going to a new store, so they musn't be up on this one yet. Honestly, I can't believe the Nature's Bounty people haven't changed the way they do these coupons. This offer has come up several times before. You'd think they would send such a high value coupon snail mail. :confused3

Sorry to quote myself.

I've been meaning to ask you, Kelly, which store does your cousin work at?

She works at the 183 store. They work closely with 222/Blandon and Shoemakersville. I think they share some management. 5th Street was also giving a hard time with the Nature's Bounty coupons.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!! TWO WINNERS!!!!:banana::banana:

lilianddomsmom and 3boymthr :wizard: You both get the magic envie!!

All of you are wonderful. Keep up all the great tips!!!

I am new so forgive me...the 10 for $10 deal do you have to buy 10 items to get them at a dollar or could I just buy like 5 or 6 items and get them each for $1.00?

It just makes them $1 each so you don't have to buy 10 to get the deal. I've gotten 3 bottles of Bayer aspirin for free with $1.00 off coupons and I only bought those 3 items in the transaction, I did not buy 10 things.

I love that store! That girl, Aspen, who works there is really sweet.

You know, a while back they stopped taking coupons that generated overages on glucose meters, too. I don't try to buy those there anymore. I guess I'll cross them off of my vitamin list, too!

:confused3 Drives me crazy when the stores pick and choose what they want to take. I understand them not want to give a overage but to not take them at all just seems unfair:sad2:

Yesterday I got 3 hair dyes (Clairol) and 2 Pantenes for $6 something and 3 ECBs back.
-The dye was on sale for $5 each and I had 3 $2 off coupons. Pantene was 2/$7 and I had $1 off. I used 5 ECBs and got 3 back.

Today I got
2 boxes of Kellogs
1 pack Reach floss
2 bags M&Ms
2 boxes CVS bandaids
1 Starbucks milk
1 Hydro Razor

Total: about $22
Coupons: $8 manuf. coupons
4/$20 CVS coupon
$3 off M&M coupon
$1 2 CVS first aid

3 ECBs from yesterday
Total: $4.17 with 6 ECBs back. :)

I'm just mad I didn't get my bag tag scanned.. always so much to remember when I go to CVS.
