Cvs weekly 2/28-3/6

I went today... I got a $15/$75 coupon. Yea, right.

I went just to buy the Huggies. I ended up discovering that they clearanced out the 50ct boxes of Playtex Drop-Ins liners for $2.75!!!
I got:
8 Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup
1 Box Huggies Diapers
4 Boxes 8oz Playtex Drop-Ins liners.

I spent $24 or something OOP (paid with a GC I got for free when I picked up my prenatal today ) and got $4 ECB back.
Coupons were: $4/$20 CVS purchase, $3 Huggies manu, $4 Huggies CVS coupon, $1 Playtex Drop-Ins coupon.

Used the $4 ECB to go to another CVS and buy their last 3 boxes of the Playtex liners. I might hit the other 3 around here Wednesday when I'm out. I prefer the Playtex liners but am cheap so I've been buying the CVS ones... this makes the Playtex ones even cheaper than CVS, though!!

Our CVS finally got the coupon printer !!!!Last week was the first for me and I got $5/$15 which was AWESOME !!! Not so good today!!! You can gey one everyday right??

I actually was able to make a deal work, and I only lost $2.50 in ECB and .44 cents OOP, so not too bad. I got a $5/$40 so I did:

14.99 Meter
8.99 Schick refill blades
5.50 2 speed sticks
4.99 Soft Soap
1.50 Power Bar Gel blasts (seperate deal from monthly one)
2.99 Poland Springs 24 pk water (needed this)
.99 2 Minced Onion spices (BOGO- needed this)
.89 CVS tissues (needed this)
.33 Caramel (filler)
-5.00 $5/$40
-10.00 Meter q
-4.00 Schick q
-2.00 2 $1 Speedstick q's (from RIB)
-1.00 Soft Soap q (from All You)
-19.00 ECB
00P of .17 plus tax (came to .44).

I earned back 16.50 in ECB so the trip cost me $2.94....not too bad since I would have bought the water anyways.

On my other card I did the Soft Soap, water, power bars, meter and razor. I lost about $3 in ECB's on that deal, but they did take my 2 $1 CRT's even though I didn't buy those products. Not sure how I feel about doing that, but I wanted to test it to see if it worked and it did.

Had a better day at Rite Aid. Used some $5/$25 coupons and did the Listerine Pocket Packs, Monkey powder, suave kids shampoo, efferdent, actinel acne cream, shave gel, tons of kotex and carefree, and snickers bars there for $1.18 OOP (mostly sales tax).

Also, any PA shoppers, Giant also has the Purex BOGO so you can use your BOGO coupon there. I had 3 coupons so I got 6 bottles!

Ended up with a so-so day at CVS. Got two Colgates using two $1.00 coupons for the ECB. Also got the Listerine Smart Rinse since my daughter uses it and is running low. Had a $1.00 coupon on that one too. Also got the Softsoap even though I didn't have a coupon and didn't need bodywash. But I had some ECB's I needed to roll.

I did better at Rite Aid this week too!

What a slow week! I've got 14 ecb expiring too.

There is a good deal at Walgreens on Purex detergent. The bottles of 32 loads are B1G1 free. In the 2/21 RP, there was a B1G1 free coupon (back cover). Makes two bottles free! Of course, YMMV, but I had no problem doing it today with manager approval. He even said he was going to do it cause he had no idea it was even on sale! It wasn't marked at my store at all, so there was plenty of stock. I hope I got the color right!!

I tried at my Walgreen's and the computer had rung one up at $1 and one at $1 less than full price. The just wanted to give me $1 credit. Not on this deal but once before.

Call corporate !! Ours refused mine and I called corporate and they were TOLD I was right and they were wrong !!! I have not had a problem with them since !!!

I had a similar problem with Rite Aid and I called corporate and they too called the store and informed them I was right and I also haven't had a problem since. In fact they fall over backwards now to help me with my coupons!

I do find when using BOGO coupons with BOGO sales that I have to buy other things. They usually don't even bat an eye if it is part of a larger transaction.

I didn't because I was so furious that I just left my basket of items on the counter and left (again this was at a Rite Aid). But, I am sure they knew who called, LOL, which is why they are so nice to me now.

I had a ton of problems on that transaction, and it was an assistant manager. When I asked for the manager he wasn't there.
1. Would not accept the BOGO coupons.
2. I had a $5.$25 that she wouldn't accept since my total after coupons was less than $25. No wording on the coupon to say it was after coupons. I gave it to her first. Also told me she couldn't take a coupon printed from the internet, yet Rite Aid EMAILED me the coupon. At that point they weren't taking printables, but it was their own coupon emailed!
3. Bought some items on clearance and she wouldn't accept manufacturers.
4. Bought Mentos that were .99. Had a $1 coupon and she wouldn't take it because it was more than the purchase price. I said just adjust it down to .99 and she told me that was illegal.
5. They had a deal in their weekly flyer where you used the in ad coupon plus a manufacturer and got the item for free. It was advertised right in their ad to use both coupons. SHe wouldn't accept both because you can't have more than 1 per product.

I was FURIOUS. I grabbed my stack of coupons and left. She basically called me a thief. I called Rite Aid corporate from the car. This employee was there for a long time so it wasn't that she was new. I went to another Rite Aid down the street and had no problems whatsoever doing the same transaction. Rite Aid sent me a $10 gift card for all my troubles and that lady has been sickeningly sweet to me everytime I shop in that store from now on.
