CVS Weekly 1/24-1/30

Walgreens only allows 1 coupon per item. Their RRs count as a manf. coupon. I argued with corporate last week they were not MQ but rewards from Walgreens. They say the manf. gives out the reward not Walgreens. But they could not tell why, if they are MQ, that I can't use them at CVS.:rotfl2:

Hmillerbarilla told me she saw someone using their Wags RR at our local grocery store, Jewel. I'm not sure if the "fellow couponer" was just lucky with certain cashiers or if it's an official store policy.

It seems like I'd be better off using the RRs somewhere else than Walgreens, too!

Walgreen's make me so mad. I only shop there when the sales are really good like last week. We depleted our cold meds when we were all sick forever. I will probably do the Pepsi deal again this week then burn the rest of the RRs on stuff I want/need.
And I am glad to know you are the reason for our economy and not our crazy politicians.

OT: I went to Stop and shp and had a huge order tonight. It was 356.00 before coupons and 170.00 after... The cashier(all of 16) was so rude. Huffing at every coupon...:rolleyes:rolling her eyes everytime something beeped:guilty: then she printed out this long reciept before subtotaling just to make sure to check that i did buy everything I was using a coupon for. worst yet...the manager was looking too:headache: Funny..I had every single item!!! I took my cart and said "Are you always in such a good mood or did I just bring out the best in you when I came to your register?pirate:she didnt know what to say..she just looked at me. and....I stood there and stared back at her. She finally just said "I dont know"..:confused3
Sometimes....aghhhhh. but then I saved 186.00 in coupons/store savings so :snooty:puckerup::dancer: so....

I get so mad about these coupon stories, coupons do nothing but HELP the economy, the store and the manufacturer. These people with chips on their shoulders because they are too lazy to do the work to get the savings themselves should spend a little time learning how money really works in this world.

Today I got accused of "ripping off a store" because I spent $1+tax, and it wasn't by a store, it was by someone visiting our house! I carefully explained, that I bought:

$10.00 Three 12-packs of Mountain Dew
$10.00 Eight Gatorades
-5.00/20 coupon
-4.00 Four mfgs. for Gatorade
-10.00 Extra Buck from previous purchase
$1.00 (earned $10)

Thinking this would clear it up, I got a "see, I told you that you were ripping off the store!" "I pay for what I buy!"

Hi Ladies. Just popping in to say high since I have nothing pertinent to add about CVS since I didn't even go again this week yet. Will do the soda but thats about it....bummer of a week for CVS and Rite Aid!

Did want to let you all know i have an interview tonight :cool1: I am still working the temp job almost 5 months later with no word on if it will ever go permanent so I am looking elsewhere! I need to get something permanent!!!! They had their chance (was supposed to go perm in 2 monhts, ha). I am so sick of all this uncertainty....so fingers crossed! Can't post it on FB since some people at the temp job are on there....so I had to share with someone :goodvibes

I did this week's Pepsi deal on the way to work today, and my receipt does NOT say the limit is reached. It says I've bought $60.00 and that amountot earn the reward is $20.00. Does anyone know whether the limit is really two like last week? I'll definitely do it again if I'm going to get ECBs for it.

All these stories of the coupons and attitudes from the cashier's reminds me of a comment I got from a co-worker whom I got started on CVSing. She loves it but didn't have time to go last week so she sent her 18 yo DS who was home from College. He wanted to know if was legal to use that number of coupons and to save that much and apparently he was bragging about his savings to all his friends. :rotfl2:

Just wanted to point out, the Tampax deal in the OP is wrong. It's actually only $2 ECB back. Still a good deal I think, $6 for a box of 60 and a box of 20 with the P&G coupon.

For the Ivory deal, do we have to buy something else to bring it to $1 or can I go in and use just the $1 coupons and buy only that? I have 15 of those coupons, it's the only soap my DH uses, so this would be great to get it for free. If I need to add a filler, no problem, but I don't usually go to CVS so don't want to look like an idiot.
TIA! :)

For the ivory my coupon beeped and the cashier had to adjust it down to 99c. Oh and I bought other stuff too, so it doesn't matter if you buy it alone or with other things.

Pepsi Products Spend $20 get $10 ECB limit 1
Pepsi 8pk 12oz cans 5/$10
Pepsi 2ltrs or Sobe or Gatorade 32oz 4/$5
True North or Stacy's Pita Chips 2/$6
Starbucks Frap, Izze, or Amp 4 pk $5
Tostito's or Lay's Chips 2/$7
$1/2 G2 RP 1/10
They had a sign by the tostitos salsa that it counted towards this deal but no sign on the tostitos chips. I took a chance since i needed the chips and bought them along with 4 8pks @ $2 each. My receipt only shows the pepsi counting towards the deal ($8 not $$11.99) I guess there's nothing I can do about that, right? I was planning to go back later this week to finish the deal.

The first 14 qs will go through without a problem and the last one will be adjusted down .15 so there is no overage. You will only have to pay tax and you don't need to buy anything else. :)

My older son got his college friends hooked a few years ago when there was a $5/15 coupon and lots of extra bucks on snacks, cereal, soup - they ended up with free milk on each transaction. I've always wondered if any of them kept up with it. My son quit doing CVS when he graduated, he says it's easier to just shop here free

Sending all happy lucky thoughts your way!

I had three of the Ivory coupons. The last one beeped and was adjusted downward so that there was no overage. No body in my family will use Ivory so it is in my bag to go to the local food pantry this week. They will be glad to have it.

Has anyone bought the Starbucks Frappuccino 4pks @ $5 each for this deal?

On Sunday I purchased 2 Mocha flavor and 2 Coffee flavor packs and the $10 ECB did not print. It showed that I had $10 towards this reward and needed $10 to earn the reward. The manager redid the transaction putting through my purchase as 4 packages of the Mocha flavor to get my receipt to finally say Amount towards reward $20 and my $10 ECB printed.

I go tonight to do the deal again and this time they had 4 packages of Mocha so I purchase all 4. Again my $10 ECB does not print. My receipt says Amount towards this Reward $30, Amount Needed to Earn Reward $10. This time the cashier just manually printed me a $10 ECB. The 4 packages of Starbucks was all that I purchased so my receipt clearly shows my total being $20.

I cannot figure out why this deal continues not to work when purchasing 4 of the 4pk Frappuccinos. Anyone else have this problem?

Walgreens rules ARE so completely confusing! I had to have my transaction voided 3 times there once - the cashier was very fed up with me.

I used a coupon that was $x off 2 and it counted for 2 of my items - totally threw me off! :lmao:

Hi! Did I miss the Baby announcement??? Wasn't she having her baby last Thursday? Or was it not till this Thursday??? Oh no my own pregnant mind is losing it!

Hope all went well and she is feeling great and baby is wonderful!!!!Send congrats!
