Cvs weekly 02/21-02/27

I went to CVS today and picked up a few sale items.

3 Renuzit Adjustables 88 cents each, used coupon "buy 2 get 1 free" from 1/10/10 RP (spent $1.76 for 3, about 59 cents each)

Physician's Formula Bamboo Compact Mirror and Brush $6.99 earned $5 ECB-also there was a "Try Me Free" peelie on this item. I will get a $6.99 rebate, making this a money maker. :cool1:

Not much for me either.

But just realized I have 2 $10 RR from Wags that expire tomorrow! What to buy, what to buy?

I got the Rubbermaid food storage things for $1.99 on BOGO sale and used $1 coupons from the 1-3-10 Smart Source, so they were a 1 cent money-maker plus tax.

Valentine's was 75% off today, tons of candy (yikes!). Also the tiny CVS/Gold Emblem bottles of water are on national markdown for 75% off, so they are $1.25 a case. My kids always want those to bring to school (I hate buying bottled water, but I caved on this).

You are not going to believe my trip tonight. First of all 5 of the $1.99 Colgate toothbrushes is enough to get the ECB on that deal.

Second they did not have the ear stuff (free after ECB) so I marked that off my list.

Third found 2 packs of Hershey Kisses .75 each and had a 1/2 MQ

But the best part was I had a 5/15 to use but after that Cashier told me to go swipe my card in the scanner. I told her I had already done that. She said she could use those on this purchase. I had a bunch of those in my ECB wallet. She used every one I gave her and only used the $1 off 2 MQ for Kisses. Paid $1.14 cents (must have been tax) and kept all my other MQ. Cashier says the scanner coupons are good on anything.

Did I explain it well enough?

I can kind of see what you mean. I'm pretty sure that all those scanner coupons will scan for the full amount no matter what you bought. They don't seem to be tied to the item, just the card. I just can't imagine a cashier actually letting you do it! :woohoo:

This is what is happening to ShiPooOwner and I, we have cashiers taking them from us and scanning them. Its freaking me out.

Not only that but yesterday the cashier "scolded" me for throwing away some expired scanner tapes. :dance3:

i only have about 7ecb's on my card...thinking of using it up, and then opening a new card, w/a new email account because I NEVER get any coupons - emailed, mailed, or w/the scanner - my card is probably about 10+ years old...has anyone done this and started getting coupons?

Wow, that would freak me out too! Nothing like that is happening here...but I guess I can see how it would work.

I actually got the $5/$15 on my one card! I NEVER get those at the scanner so of course I was thrilled. I did the toothpaste (I always forget to get kids toothpaste so I did that this time), Ear Rinse, Physicians Formula and snickers bars. I wanted to do the Speedstick as well, but they never got those in. I missed the Rubbermaid containers deal...I usually don't cut those coupons out so I probably wouldn't have been able to do it anyway.

I got a 5/15 at the scanner on both cards yesterday.:cool1:

I ran up there to exchange an LP tank for our grill so I scanned the card first. To my surprise, I got a $5/$15. The cashier said that I could use it on the tank so it only cost me $14.99. I'm sure that I have some ECB that I could have used but I was in a hurry and didn't even think about them until after I got home.

I got the 5/15 on one card but not the other??
I went in on the 20th, and the coupon said it expired on the 23rd. Used it that night!

I bought 3 A&W/Sunkist (need to get one more) and I bought the clean and clear blackhead remover using the free refill coupon, plus some cinnamon altoids for DH (only place we can get them).

I will pick up the fourth sunkist with my prescription tomorrow.

on friday and it expires today. Are they always that limited? Of course I wanted to use it on Cheerios but they are all out, and won't come back in until Friday. (and I got a raincheck)

Can I use the 5/15 late or do I need to use it today?

Oh no I just threw some expired ones away last night. But I do know the last time I was in TN manager told me ECBs never expire, they will always take them. YMMV

Again another YMMV as some stores will accept and others will not.
Today I was in a different city so of course I stopped at CVS.:lmao: I asked the clerk to scan my bag tag and she would not because I did not bring a bag with me. At my usual store they scan the bag tag no matter and even put my things in a CVS bag then put them in my reusable shopping bag.

Find yourself a nice store.

Hmmm... I have $15 ECB that expire next week. Might use them on the box of Pampers. Maybe I'll get the $5/$15! Yeah, right... :rotfl:

*Eta*
Nevermind. Waiting for next week.

Thanks for these threads, they really help! :)

Hey, if anyone uses wipes - VERY good deal:

The Huggies wipes bags 184-216 count are ringing up at 2/$5, the sale price of the boxes. I ran over to one after work with my sister's 5 off 15, 2 coupons, and bought 14 bags (didn't clear the shelf). I have 3 kids, she has 3 kids (3, 1, and 1 week:scared1: This is probably my deal of the year, so far. She's going to try to hit up some other ones tommorrow. Regular price is $7.99, and I love these wipes.

Swipe your card, because some people are getting Huggies wipes $2 CRT today, not me though. HTH!

Awesome!!!

I might have to go get some. I have a ton of Huggies Wipes coupons..

My local Kroger messed up in May of 09. They sold the refill boxes (360ct) for $2.50... plus, it was the week they were doing the $3/$15 Huggies Purchase. So I got 6 boxes of wipes for $12 each transaction.

I still have about 12 cases, purchased close to 20 total. :rolleyes1
Can always use more, though!!!
