CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 8/19-8/25

OK, DW Lauri stopped at 2 different CVS stores to use both of her cards. I'm going to try to recap what she bought because I'm in awe. Not sure what she bought on each card so I'll lump it in one sale:

2 bottles of 130 ct Centrum
2 bottles of 24 count Bayer
1 bottle 24 count Tylenol Rapid Release
10 packages 10 ct Doublemint gum
2 Sea Breeze Astringents
1 Soleil Razor (second store was sold out)
1 Mentadent (store mkd down to 87 cents - took a $2 coupon for it :rotfl: )
1 Cottonelle
2 Maybelline mascaras

then she needed a few bucks to get up to the dollar amount of her ecbs she was using so she added in:

4 individual sized packs of Peanut Butter M&M's for me :woohoo:
a pink bunny squeaky time for a very spoiled dog ;)

She used coupons and 2 $20 ECBs and paid a whopping 14 cents in one store and 36 cents in the other!

You should be very proud of your DW. She just saved you a bunch of money. Now go take her out to dinner. lol:rotfl:

Just a heads up on a shaws deal!

Hood Ice Cream is advertised at $1.99 (Limit 2 per transaction!)
there is a $1.00 off coupon on coolsavings.com and it let me print out at least 5 (I stopped at 5 but it seems to allow me to keep printing  ) It is on the Hood New England Creamery Types which is included in the sale! So $0.99 for ice cream!!! We make shakes in our house quite often and have a 2nd freezer so this is ideal for stocking up for that purpose!

I bought 2 yesterday with a $1 off 2. But $1 off 1 is even better! I am going to print some of these - I also have an extra freezer. Since the limit is 2, did you just keep going back?

My job is across the street from a Shaws so I can leave work and hit it on the way home. So that is 5 trips without going out of my way. But I have 2 stores under 5 minutes from my house so I could really stock up if I wanted to.

ETA: Coupon states: SAVE $1 on any one (1) HP Hood New England Creamery Ice Cream
Coupon valid only in CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT.

I was also able to keep printing them so *no limit* on how many you print but you can only buy 2 at a time on the sale! I have printed 12 of them!

This was such a fun trip to CVS.

First I transferred a prescription to get a $25 gift card.

After that:
first transaction:

1 Bic Soleir Razor 6.99
1 Sea Breeze 3.99
2 Aleve 7.98
1 A&H toothpaste 1.99
total 20.95

M Coupon -5.00
ECB -9.99
4/20 -4.00
Gift card -1.96
OOP 0

Second transaction:

2 A&H tooth paste 7.98
2 Arrid deodrant 6.58
1 Oral B toothbrush 6.99
2 Kiss nails 11.98
total 33.53
tax .29
total 33.82

4/20 -4.00
Arrid BOGO -3.29
M coupons -3.00
ECB -11.49
gift card -3.04
OOP 0

Third transaction:
Aqua Fresh XClean 3.49
2 Kiss nail 11.98
CVS brand Pepto 4.49
Brita Water Filer 6.40 (clearance)
total 26.36
tax .45
total 26.81

4/20 4.00
M coupon 1.00
CRT 2.00
ECB 7.00
gift card 12.81
OOP 0

I have $13.99 ECB's left that I earned today. It might have been better to use more ECB's today instead of the gift card. I am not sure. The last transaction was for things I just wanted or needed mainly and that is why I used the gc on that one.

Oh man this is fun. :dance3: :cool1: :thumbsup2

I posted this on another thread and did not get a response. Someone had mentioned pulling out their old CVS receipts. Is there any reason to keep them excepty maybe for tax purposes? I have been saving them but was ready to throw them away when I read that.

This last trip was a tad bit frustrating. No Mentadent toothpaste and still no AquaFresh Advanced (been looking all month for it). I did get:
  • the last One-Touch mini (Mom & Dad actually use these, so I'll have a spare for when they visit) $19.99
  • one Soleil razor w/replacement blades $6.99
  • one bottle of Gold Bond moisturizer (it was on DH's list) $4.99
Total = $31.97

Handed over:
  • a $4 off of $20 coupon that she didn't enter :sad2:
  • my triple Extra Bucks coupon (which rang up at 1¢ off):confused3
  • a $3 off $15 CRT coupon
  • $1 off Gold Bond coupon
  • $20 off One Touch Mini coupon
  • $2 off Soleil coupon
  • $2.50 ECB
Total after coupons = $3.47

Now, if she's entered the $4 off $20 coupon, I wouldn't have had to use the $2.50 ECB. And I had A $3 ECB that they couldn't get to work. I got so frustrated after the 3rd person tried to fix it that I just paid OOP so I could get out of there.

What I got back:
  • $10 ECB for the One Touch
  • $4 ECB for the Soleil
For the year my total is over $300 in Extra Care spavings (that doesn't count manufacture's coupons or using ECBs to pay for items) and I've spent a total of $149.56. I also have $31 in ECBs that expire 9/11 or later.

Okay, I went to CVS yesterday and had my best day ever!!

I purchased:

5 12 packs of Pepsi (buy 4 for 11 and get the 5th free) 11.00
Arm and Hammer Dental Care Toothpaste 1.99
Carefree Pantyliners .88
Schick Quatro Razor 5.99
Right Guard Sport Deoderant (B1G1Free) 3.29
Centrum 6.99
Centrum 6.99
Total $37.13!!

I subtracted a $4/20 coupon, 50 cent coupon for Right Guard, 2 different 2.50 coupons for Pepsi products *husband mailed away for these months ago - something about sending in UPC codes*, 2 different 2.00 coupons for Centrum, $1 off Arm and Hammer Dental Care Toothpaste, and a $20 ECB.

My grand total was .63!!! AND I got $5 ($1 for Arm and hammer and $4 for Centrum) in ECB's!!

DH FINALLY understands!!

Wanted to give everyone a heads up that the Kids Centrum vitamins are working for the Centrum deal, even though they are not shown in the ad. I tried it yesterday (bought 2 bottles of the Dora vitamins-100 count) and it worked!!!

Hey Sarah, how much were the Kids Centrum? Dgrandchildren can use those.
Thanks for the heads up.

Another trip to another CVS today and still no Mentadent toothpaste. No sign of even a place on the shelf where they would have been. But I was on a shopping mission to hit a bunch of stores and there were a few items at CVS that I figured I would get:
  • 2 Russell Stover Premium Chocolates @$3.29 ea.
  • 1 Wrigley Doublemint 10 pk @ 99¢
  • 1 Satin Skin shaving Gel @$2.99
  • 1 Duracell AA 4-pk @$2.99
  • 2 pks 4-ct. Expo Markers @2/$5
  • 1 Seas Breeze Astringent @$3.99
Total before coupons = $22.54

Coupons Used:
  • 1 CVS $4 off $20
  • 1 CVS CRT Coupon $2 off the shaving gel
  • $1 MFR $1 off gum
  • $1 MFR $1 off batteries
  • $3.29 MFR (BOBOF) Russell Stover candies
  • $11 ECBs
Total after coupons = 28¢ (after taxes)

Got back:
1 ECB for $3.99 (the Sea Breeze)

Just an FYI for anyone who also shops Eckerd/Rite Aid:
You can get a printable coupon here by signing up they will send you an email with a link to take the "Melt Away Stress Challenge". At the end of the challenge, you can print a coupon for $4 off the purchase of Johnson's Softwash body wash. Eckerd/Rite Aid has it on sale BOGOF ($5.88 for one). So for $1.88, you get 2 bottles. The website will allows you to print up to 2 coupons per computer and there's no limit on the number of bottles that Rite Aid will allow you to buy.

Note: The register rang up each bottle as $2.94. So, I guess it would be possible to use two coupons to get 2 items for free. I just didn't try to do it.

Has anyone had luck finding the Mentadent? :confused3

I was going to ask this as well. I found ONE tube/bottle/whatever at a local CVS today, but it didn't ring at the sale price and wasn't signed as being on sale, but it's the size listed in the ad.

Store 1

6 packs Wrigley's $5.94
Bayer 1.99
Alavert 6.99
Tylenol Ex Strength Rapid Release 6 ct CLEARANCE 1.15
Sea Breeze Astringent $3.99

-$4/20
-$5 wrigley's (I thought I handed her 6, but when I was reading the receipt just now, realized it was only 5 :sad2: )
-$1.10 Bayer
-$1 any size Tylenol
-$4 Alavert
-$2 Alavert CRT
-$2.50 ECB

Subtotal .46 + 0.00 tax = .46 OOP

Got back $3.99 ECB for the Astringent

Store 2 (sister's card)

5 Wrigley's $4.95
Bayer 1.99
Bayer 1.99
Alavert 6.99
Sudafed PE Multi Symptom 3.99

-$4/20
-$4.95 Wrigley's
-$1.10 Bayer
-$1.10 Bayer
-$4 Alavert
-$2 Alavert CRT
-$1 Sudafed Multi Symptom
-$1 Sudafed CRT

subtotal .76 + .00 tax = .76 OOP

No ECBs earned, but got a few CRTs.

I will be hitting more this week, I have a zillion gum coupons to use. :teeth:

Kimya

There were ZERO Mentadents in my store. =( The CENTRUM Kids were on sale for $6.99. I bought 2 in order to get the $4 EcB. So the total was like $13.98 and then I had a $3 coupon with brought it down to $10.98, got the $4 ECB, which brought it down to $6.98, so about $3.50 each...not too shabby!! LOL

I wish they had the Mentadents in my store because I have 2 $1 coupons for it!!!!!!!!!!

I know!!!!!!!!!!! Don't they know that I NEED yet another tube of toothpaste????????? LOL (*note the sarcasm*) LOL
