CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 6/17-6/23

I'm a CVS ECB newbie and I have a question. When you make a purchase with multiple items that will earn you ECB, do they print out individually on the receipt, or in a lump sum? For example, if I purchase different items and all of my ECBs come out to $24, do I get one ECB for $24, or do I get individual ones for each "offer", example - $4, $5, $3, $2, $2, etc...

Does that make sense???

They are individual. For ex. one will have a ticket $2 ECB for purchasing Crest, next on the receipt it will have a ticket $10 ECB for purchasing, Proctor and Gamble, etc. But, if you have a limit of, say, 5 for something and you bought 5 it will combine those...ex. say there is a deal on soap for $2 ECB w/ purchase and it has a max of five...you will get a ticket for $10 ECB's for soap; not individulal $2 ECB's for each of those products.
Hope I explained that OK.
My store lets me use as many ECB tickets as I want.

you get individual ones and it will say on it what is is from (ex: from St. Ives deal $5 ECB)

I've only gotten there once this week :scared1: (OKAY who moved the darn smilies again!!! :headache: ) I have a couple more trips planned but a busy week. Must sit down and really go through everything to make sure I didn't miss anything and I am waiting for some Q's to come in as well. Shhh, I'm at work Dising so must not get caught :rolleyes1

LMAO, Sally!! Yeah, I don't want to miss any deals! I am waiting on some IAMS $5 cat food coupons that I won off ebay. At RiteAid, they have the 4 pound bags on sale for $5.99 so that would make each bag only .99!!!!!!!!! I am thinking that I am going to go to CVS maybe tomorrow.

Ok, so I read the whole thread and my only question was going to be if the ECBs print out individually, then how are you getting to use them in one transaction, when it says just one. But, I guess some stores don't care. I guess that I'll have to give it a try and see what happens. Thankfully, there are about 4 stores pretty close to me.

Yes. That is what my store points to when I ask about using more than one ECB. Although I went to the store one day during the day (not when I normally go, but I had the day off) and the nice lady there let me use 2 at once! I may try to go back during her shift. Do you think she would mind if I asked to see her work schedule. :lmao:

 Ok- do you all walk in and look immediately at the registers to see who is there? I do- one kid will turn me in a 180 to go to another CVS. Some cashiers I see and get a feeling of relief. Pretty sad.

I really wish they would omit that from the coupons as it causes problems at soooo many stores. I have a couple around here that pull that too. If you call customer service they will tell you that you can use as many ECB's as you want as long as it does not go over your total. Then again, now some customer service reps. are telling people it is up to the store which way to interpret it. :headache:

When they advertise the ECB's as "like cash" I don't see how they can use the "only 1" mindset. I don't have a problem with not getting change back or not being able to use them on gift cards or certain merchandise but I think we should be able to use as many in 1 transaction as we choose. Do they limit how many dollar bills you can use in a transaction?

Ok, rant over, not trying to cause the great ECB debate but it irritates me when they reel you in with the ECB like cash back thing and then tell you how to spend them :headache: I will continue to use them as each of my stores allow but I wish they would get it together and go with 1 rule corporately instead of each store making up the rules as they see fit. At least publicly post it so I don't get bllind sided when I get to the register!

I think we all have our favorites and least favorite cashiers. I will avoid the whole day shift at 1 store  They are just cranky! While at another store I prefer to go during the day as my favorite girl is on. I always scope out the clerks to see who is on and then I know if I can get away with more than 1 transaction at a time.

I'm planning my second trip back as I finally have some ECBs, and
I was just curious: Are there many people here who have trouble
using more than 1 ECB at a time? Does everyone have at least 1
store in their area that will allow it? And if they don't, do you
ring up things as seperate transactions?

I'm really lucky with my CVS- it is on my way home from work and all the staff is friendly. They do multiple ECBs and even overide the register when it tries to refuse something- they seem to take it as a personal challenge! When I bought the BYGOF Right Guard I was using 1 coupon that it wouldn't take (mind you, I had just used 50/10 and about 10 coupons before this yanking a 90.00 transaction to around 20.00). The clerk muttered to the register "She bought 2! Give it up!".:rotfl: I started laughing and told her I was happy with whatever I had gotten and certainly didn't care about the coupon refusal- she did something and forced it through for me. I am so sorry that some of you have issues with your store- I hope mine's policies don't change.

I have never ever had any problems using more than 1 ECB at a time - last Sunday I used three and they all went through with no problems.

I just filled out the rebate form for the glucose monitor (yes, I am a diabetic and my doctor hands these out like candy- the companies have free deals all the time because the test strips are about a dollar each which is where they make the money.) The form doesn't ask what you paid, just to enclose the original register receipt- mine shows 69.99 (the discounts are totalled further down and combined with others) so I'm wondering if they are going to rebate me that amount?! Since it was already free with the coupon I'm feeling a little dirty (but I still mailed it in :lmao: ). I figure all the test strips I've bought from One Touch that I'll consider it a payback if it comes back for 69.99!

I TOTALLY look to see who is working!!!!!!!!!! The older lady that used to be mean and rude to me is now very nice to me and pushes ALL my coupons and ECBs through and actually sees how low we can get it!!! LOL She also lets me do multiple transactions!

Did anyone pick up the st ives apricot scrub? Can I get the UPC?

I did get the Apricot scrub but I am at work and don't have the UPC code with me!!

I can wait....I guess.;)

Just a note: the wrigley multipacks of gum (including EXTRA) are going to be on sale for $1 next week. There are ALOT of $1/1 multipack Qs floating around out there. (I have two different ones in my binder!) You can get a set of 10-20 on ebay for approx 2.00-2.50 (with shipping).

DH and I are major gum chewers so this will work out to be a really nice deal for us.

I have somewhat of a third trip planne dout but i have 4 more coupons for monitors so i need to figure out 2 trips.

Ok, this is my third trip ever- (just signed up last week), so I am not too good yet, but I will get there, lol.

Here is what I got:

One Touch Ultra- 19.99
One Touch Mini- 19.99
Aussie Volume Mousse- 3.99 (I know, not on sale, but needed) ;)
GUM toothbrush- 1.99
Lacross fingernail clippers- 1.99
Lacross nail clippers- 1.99
Sally Hanson polish- 1.49
Sally Hanson polish- 1.49
Total: 52.92

Coupons:
Lacross Bogo 1/2 off (-1.00)
GUM Q (-1.00)
One Touch Q (-19.99) (price adj)
One Touch Q (-19.99)
ECB (-5.00)

Grand Total $ 6.24 + got 1 ECB, so total is $ 5.24

One question- I though with the 2 Sally Hanson, and the 2 Lacross items, that it would make up the 4 I had to buy to get the 5 ECB, but I didn't get anything. At the bottom of my receipt it lists only the SH items, and lists my balance as 2. Does this mean if I buy 2 more nail polishes next trip, the 5 bucks will print out then?

Also, how do you get the CRT coupons?? I have made 3 purchases now, and have yet to get ANYTHING! :confused3

Thanks from a newbie!

Some of the polishes are on clearance. The worst part is that they aren't marked so you don't know you're buying them on clearance. Clearance items don't count towards ECBs. I would take the polishes back and exchange them for two of the "pricier" polishes (2.49 ea) or get two more lacrosse items.

The CRTs are unpredictable and random. They'll print out with your ECBs. Know one knows how they operate or what factors are used to choose who gets what. It seems to me the longer you play the CVS game the more frequently you get them..but thats just a personal observation. I can go weeks without getting one and then suddenly have 5 print on one receipt. All you can do is keep your fingers crossed that you'll get lucky. There are some really good ones popping up right now that should be saved and applied to next weeks deals. I plan on heading over to that thread right now and post whats coming up and what would be the best ways to "use" them.

Hey there, Shannon!!! Just pulled out my Apricott Scrub...it is the Apricot Scrub and underneath that is says "Renew and Firm". UPC code is 77043 10568
