CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 3/16/08-3/22/08

I will go back to TN on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I will be back to stay longer in the summer. Maybe we can plan a meet then.

When do you go back? This weekend and the following weekend are both out for me, but I could do sometime the first weekend in April!

We should make it a CVS swap! Bring any of your "trader" items and we can swap for things we want!!!! :teeth:

But I think we will have to put a ban on toothpaste, unless someone specifically requests someone to bring a certain kind. :lmao:

I just got back from CVS - i bought 1 tote the other day so i went today to use the accessory coupons - i wanted to buy 2 more totes, but the register beeped and i was only able to use 1 coupon per transaction.
I was planning to do the exact same thing tomorrow (assuming they are still in stock) -- buy 2 totes using the 2-$1 accessory coupons from the tote I bought on Monday, so thank you for the update. I'm OK splitting my order in 2 and picking up only 1 tote per transaction.

For those of you that do multiple transactions, do you leave and come back, get out of line, or do them all at once when its your turn?
also if you have one of the $/$$ coupons do you use it on each transaction?

i have been doing them at different CVS's and using the coupons multiple times. Don't know if that would work if I did multiple transactions all at once.

I went tonight to see if CVS had Enchanted for $19.99 but they didn't know what I was talking about. Thought with the $5/15 I could do a similar deal as last week with Bee Movie. I'd much rather pay $14.99 with ECBs than spend $13.99 in real money at Circuit City.

So I decided to do the Dove deal and I wasn't smart about it at all, this is what I did:

Body Wash x's 2 $7.98 - 2 mfg. $4
Deodorant $3.49 - $1 mfg.
Lotion $6.99 - $1.50 mfg.
(used $3/15 Beauty)

I am kicking myself because I got a CRT for $4/20 for skin care and should've figured out a plan to use that with Dove products.

If you're looking for Dove lotion or deodorant, look around on the end caps for the bonus packages from January, they both work. The deodorant has a travel shampoo and conditioner and the lotion had a bonus travel size lotion.

Stitchlovestink had mentioned having a pool party this summer. I'm all up for a MD DIS meet before then though - come on up to Bel Air anytime!

Theoretically that is how it SHOULD work but I have read on other sites that in the past rebates were denied when a coupon was used to purchase the item. I have never tried it personally so I don't know but it would be a great deal if you were able to do both - especially if you can use the monitor yourself or donate it somewhere where it can be of use.

I don't know how it will work. One of my best friends' dad has diabetes and he is able to use these (I give them to him) so I just do the deal, and whatever happens, happens. It isn't a big deal to me. If I can buy a free monitor for someone, that's great. I feel it is just worth a try!:goodvibes

I found the Playskool bags but they scanned fo $1.79. Do they ring up cheaper? And should I buy them anyway? I am such a cheapie.

I bought the tote at my CVS for $1.49 but tonight I found it for $0.75 at another CVS. AND, I passed it up! I couldnt' beleive my will power. I really didn't need a filler, my OOP was $0.27!!!

Thanks for the heads up on the bonus package, I'm thinking of doing the Dove deal if I happen to pass a CVS sometime this week....:rolleyes1

Tonight I bought:

used BOGO coupon on glade spray,
used $3 off on flameless
used 5.98 ECB
paid .27!!!!!!!! :dance3:

got $1 ECB for sprays, and $2 ECB for flameless

I've always wanted to try the flameless candle (especially since I have a toddler) maybe I'll go fire it up now!:wizard:

I am so excited about all this, reading this board for months really inspired me. I even caught the playskool bag buzz. I counted 13 of them on the shelf, with their $2.99 sign on them still. I price checked the bag and went for it!

Thanks for reading my whole post, I know some of it belonged in last weeks thread, but I didn't want to resurrect it.

Also thanks for all the inspiration. I am going to actually put away the savings from my couponing for something big.

Not only have I done well with CVS, but I also bought 4 boxes of cheerios for $2 from Ralphs using a double coupon with their promotion of $4/$10 plus a $6 instant rebate on General Mills products when you spend $10. Then I found a free car wash rain check in my glove box and my day was complete. :cheer2:

Sprinkle some of that will power on me!

I've always wanted to try the flameless candle (especially since I have a toddler) maybe I'll go fire it up now!:wizard:

You'll love it, they are really pretty. All mine ran out of oil but the battery lasts forever so I just walk by it and press the top all the time. Sometimes I put the light part in other things - I used them for the Halloween pumpkins and at Christmas I put them inside luminary (sp?) bags.

Question.........can I use the 3/15 and the 5/15 coupons in the same transaction, assuming i have 15 dollars of beauty prod to cover the $3 coup

Well, I tried another CVS today and still can't find the Playskool tote. Oh well. :sad2: Not that I need it, but thought the coupons would have been pretty neat.

They were out of all the goodies! No Flameless Candle :confused3 , no Dove Cream Oil Body Wash (my coupon was only for that type), ugggghhhh.

So I ended up buying

4 Dove Shampoos $4.99 each/BOGO and the $3.00 off coupon.
2 Glade sprays 99 cent each/BOGO coupon
1 Maybeline ColorStay/$2.00 coupon

That's about it. My total was $39.00, but after the mfq coupons and BOGOs, it came to $22.00 and I got my very first 2 ECBs ($8.99 from Maybeline & $1.00 from Glade) and 2 CVS CRTs (is that the right initials?)...woohoo!:woohoo: I know, still a lot of $ OOP, but I'm still learning and earning!:goodvibes

Tomorrow, I'm going to my close CVS and see if I can find the Dove body wash and something else so I can get the $5.00 ECB. :confused3 Oh, can I use the ECB I received today to buy the additional Dove item plus other stuff for the $5. ECB?

But yep, this is very addicting! I told DH when I got home and he just rolled his eyes and said, "like we need more shampoo just so you can have CVS money to spend back at CVS...":rolleyes1 tsk, he'll come groveling at my feet when he sees how much stuff we'll have stock piled when he does need it and how little money we've actually spent OOP! HMPH! :snooty:

I can't beleive I passed on the tote.:rolleyes1 And I'm still thinking about it 3 1/2 hours later!

I'm very excited about my candle. I didn't open it up yet. Instead, I finished off my pot-of-gold. popcorn:: Who knew CVSing required stretchy pants for all the chocolate! This is insane!:hyper:

Question.........can I use the 3/15 and the 5/15 coupons in the same transaction, assuming i have 15 dollars of beauty prod to cover the $3 coup

My Dis Mom used a $4/20 email she had and her $3/15 beauty email on Saturday night with no problems.:goodvibes

Did you get a CRT for $10 off 24/7?

If yes, here's a great deal for this week only:

24/7 Scrub $15.99
-$5/15
or
-$3/15 Beauty
-$10 CRT
99 cents or $2.99

earn $5 ECBs

There are $5.00 off the flameless mc on the glade site. I used two on Monday and got the ECB for them-cost $ .99 that I used ECB for!!

I have been looking all over for the Playskool totes. I have hit the 5 CVS's that are within 10 minutes of my house. I may have to expand my route.

I stopped at the store closest to my home with a couple of internet coupons. The same ones that I had used the day before. Newbie clerk told me that I couldn't use them. Big corporate memo had come out a few weeks ago. Huh :confused3 Put back my flameless candles and Dove candy. Told him that "CVS changes its rules more than I change my underwear" ......Went to a different CVS....no problems with my internet coupons. :confused3 I know, different stores.....different rules. I tend to stay away from the one closest to my home, because of a clerk that i refer to as "grandma". She apparently links her future pension to my use of coupons. More coupons = less pension..... That's ok, there are 4 more I can use.

I had a great CVS day yesterday! I got my first CRT coupons at my "regular" CVS & then decided to check out a new to me CVS about 15 minutes away. I found their price checker & to my amazement it actually had paper in it....I scanned my card & tada!! I got CVS coupons!! One was $3 off $10 of CVS product. I was so excited, probably a little too excited...but continued my shopping & tried to remain calm!!
The cashier at that store was SO nice too! She joked about me paying so much out of pocket $1.27 & then said I did good getting back so many Extra Bucks! I think I may go back there more often....they actually had stock & gasp..signs on their sale items!!
I tried explaining my excitement to my husband, but he was less than impressed with my "exciting" day? He's just happy I got him some deodorant! I hope he's as happy when he sees ALL the chocolate he's getting for Easter!!!

Congratulations on a good CVS day.

I haven't been following the thread this week, so I don't know if ya'll have been talking about this. If you have, forgive me for bringing it up again. BUT..... do your CVSs have signs up on the sale items -- esp. the monthly deals? I am really not enjoying CVS lately. Apparently, my area is a test area and we haven't gotten the monthly deal circular in about 3 (maybe 4) months, so I've just had to walk around the store looking for the signs. Now, I've noticed this month they aren't even putting out the same signs. They have these itty bitty tags that you can barely see. If it weren't for all of you and HCW, I'd never know what they monthly deals are. Even with ya'll it is hard because I don't have the flyer with me to look through. It is so frustrating, and I know I'm missing out on some deals, but it has become a real pain in the youknowwhat. I love the $$ I have saved from shopping at CVS, but truth is, the ones in this area are out of my way. I even drive right past the Walgreen's to go to the closest CVS. I really think I am going to concentrate my efforts on the Walgreen's deals and just use CVS for the freebies only. It is just too frustrating now - and too much work. I wonder if I should write a letter to CVS Customer Service.

To be honest, the signs in my area can really be hit or miss. I NEVER rely on them. I always go by the pics posted on HCW. I know it can be a little more time consuming without the signs "calling" you to the items but it really is worth it!

I'm actually slowing a bit on my CVSing lately. I am successfully rolled all my ECBs into April expire dates so the pressure is off to have to use any of them. I don't see any really fantastic deals in the next week so I may actually not go to CVS next week  April is going to have to be a busy CVS month as on my 3 cards I have about $190 ECBs to roll :thumbsup2
